This was part of my 50th Birthday surprise and was it worth it! The guys here really know what they are doing and the tour was outstanding, the vodka and rum were delightful. I never knew Maryland had a distillery until this visit and we truly enjoyed it and the bottle of Sloop Betty Honey. The upcoming release of their first Rum will be a delight to those rum drinkers. Every MD liquor store should start stocking this Maryland Company's product it is worth it. Thanks guys for a great tour. Use the Groupon if you can.

If you're looking something with a little fun with cool people. This is a MUST GO!! Tours are held on Saturday's every half hour. This place is not hard to find and close to bridge. Don't let the big scary span of water keep you from checking this place out. Tours are loaded with lots of Eastern Shore history and fun facts. At then end you even sample/purchase. The honey was our favorite.

We've been to other distilleries so we know about how spirits are made, but what we always find interesting is how each maker does something a bit different than the rest to make their product unique. Blackwater is no exception. From their one-of-a-kind still to where they source their sugar, it made the tour interesting. Had an opportunity to sample some of their spirits after the tour. Great way to spend a bit of a Saturday afternoon.Easy to get to once you cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

It is a little place and a great place to get together with friends (21 years old and up) to taste local drinks. The honey vodka is my favorite.

My wife and I went to this distillery on a Saturday afternoon. We didn't have to wait long to get in. One of the owners gave us a free tour of the distillery and free samples of the vodka. The honey vodka is very good.

Convenient off of Highway 50 on the way to the beach, we thought we would stop at Blackwater Distillery for a tour and tasting of locally made craft spirits. We enjoyed a fun and educational tour by the owners of Maryland's first craft Distillery in decades. The copper pot Still that will be making their Maryland Rye Whiskey this summer is a work of art and according to the guide, the first of its kind in the world because of its unique packing. The distillers shared their personal story as well as Maryland and Chesapeake history during the prohibition era and the history and industry of spirits in Maryland and Maryland Rye whiskey. After the tour, adult visitors got tastes of organic Sloop Betty Vodka and Sloop Betty Honey, which are locally sourced products and are very high quality Spirits made by a distiller with over a decade of experience. Both vodkas are smooth, tasty, and unique. We can't wait to taste the Rye whiskey on our next trip to Blackwater Distillery. It was a great educational and tasting experience.
