Typical golf club grill with typical run of the mill sandwiches, cole slaw, and/or pickles somewhat overpriced with obligatory way overpriced beer. Waitresses are always friendly with golfers and vice-versa!

Musket Ridge did an excellent job on my Son and Daughter in laws wedding. They were calling for rain and the staff kept check of the weather right up until the last minute. We had 15 min to change our minds and they were ready to jump if they wanted to move the wedding. The food was excellant, music out of this world. After the wedding was over the staff did a great job of helping us organize what needed to go home. They even kept somethings so the Brides Mother could go pick it up on Monday.

Rangers were very respectful and did not push the players. This made slow play for everyone. Lots of under repair areas. Facilities very nice, use GPS to get there.

I am a low-handicapper, and I like both the challenge of Musket Ridge and the beautiful scenery. There are some interesting holes that require you to hit a variety of shots with a sizable risk/reward ratio. (Be prepared to lose golf balls if you hit it off line.) The clubhouse is nice. It's a quality golf course. I recommend.

Played Prime time on a Sunday. $95 greens fees included range balls. However we had to hutoff mats.Course is very hilly with beautiful scenery. Greens in great shape, no GPS, would go back if not for 75 mile ride to get there.

First, the disclosures:- 18-20 handicapper- I prefer cheap tracks w/ no dress code.- I usually walk, and I'm a sucker for scenery.I played there yesterday and shot my best 18 ever (85). It was $43 to walk on a Saturday afternoon (though I'd have paid the same w/ a cart). First, the place is beautiful. Rolling hills, distant mountains -- I'm sure it's spectacular in the fall. Bring a camera. There are no cupcake holes, but each hole gives you a reasonable spot to miss the fairway. On at least 12 holes, the fairway is sandwiched between a steeply-banked side that funnels towards the fairway and a steeply-banked side that slopes away down to OB nothingness. As long as you miss on the side that banks towards, you're generally playable (if not good). Same with the greens. There's a ton of bunkers, but lots of greens are surrounded by rough that banks towards the green. If your approaches are long -- or you scull a bunker shot -- your penalty isn't catastrophic.

This course, rated in the Top 10 in Maryalnd is challenging and has some fantastic views- However, there are no course marshalls and 5 hr and 30 min round of golf is totally unacceptable! Ironically the pace of play is on the scorecard and posted in each golf cart- ordered food as directed before making the turn, the hot dogs were cold, rolls were hard and no condiments-Beer was overpricedI would not play there again unless someone else was paying the greens fees! When I mentioned it to the club pro, regarding pace of play he said I should have anticipated that on a late Saturday afternoon- he was useless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
