The development starts before WW 1. There no aircraft of any kind. Photos, letters, weapons, uniforms and posters are the exhibits in glass cases. I was the only visitor. Without aircraft, a visit may not sound worth the time, however a visitor will be surprised. No admission, but donations are accepted. If a donation is given, a visitor will receive a gift in return of their choice. With no photos on any web site, I had thoughts that a visit would not be worth the time. However I wasn't disappointed, not knowing was a surprise. While photographing one case, I asked about it. One staff member was called to help, an U.S.A.F. officer. The officer gave me an extended history of what I was interested in, plus other nearby exhibits. There is plenty of free parking. If this museum doesn't sound like a visit would be worth the time, don't visit. There is aviation history in a difference form, without aircraft. The members were polite & helpful. The museum is located on the southeast side of Washington D.C. A visit will only take one hour. I recommend a visit.Jack L., Syracuse, New York.
