Moslem warriors from centuries ago used the cave to evade enemies...When we visited the place, it is disheartening as this is not properly maintained. You can smell pee...you'd rather not go inside.

Coming from the foot of the PC Hill, one can either take a habal-habal (hired motorbike) or hike to any of the cave entrance. Some are well kept while some are just signage informing visitors of what the cave is supposed to be.

The caves were used in Spanish times by the Moros who did not submit to Spanish Rule. The caves are located in Pedro Colina Hill and allegedly goes out into Tamontaka river, spanning several kilometers. At present, only the entrance part is developed. This could have a vast tourism potential if fully developed.

the cave is obviously fascinating before it was taken for granted by its municipality. i suggest that this cave should be opened again for more tourist visits. one should ride a single motorcycle waiting at the camp which can carry two passengers at a time. only P10.00 fare was asked by the drivers but due to their good service i gave them bigger amount. from the mouth of the cave you will feel the great works of nature and almost imagine the scenes while it was in used by filipino freedom fighters, as written on the board concernin its historical background.
