I booked this trip through Luis Ernesto and he was kind enough to organise a very nice centrally located casa for me aswell at short notice. Luis Ernesto responded quickly to all my emails and was super professional, so organising the trip was really quick and easy. I should mention that I actually did the tour with a colleague of his in the same company as I booked very last minute ( I was told this before I confirmed my booking). My experience in Vinales was one of the highlights of my trip to Cuba! We started off riding through Vinales, which is absolutely breathtaking! I actually could not stop smiling during the trip because it was soo stunning! Then I was taken to a beautiful tobacco farm, where I had a chance to chat to the farm owner, who explained the tobacco making process to me. The farmer was really welcoming and friendly and the experience was really enjoyable! He even showed me how to smoke the cigars and we had a couple together! We then continued on our journey on horseback through the stunning area, which was soo much fun and a wonderful experience.We finished off in a lovely finca with some spectacular views! Luis Ernesto organised everything and even found a group for me to share a taxi home with. The finca grows all its own food, which was plentiful and absolutely delicious!! I was travelling alone and Luis Ernesto was kind enough to sit me with another group so I was not alone, and we had a fantastic evening sampling the mojitos and the local produce. Luis Ernesto is a true professional and is very charismatic, fun, kind and thoughtful, always making sure you are ok and having a good time. He definitely goes the extra mile to ensure you have a wonderful experience and that you have everything you need from start to finish. Luis Ernesto's service is 5 star and I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone considering going to Vinales for these reasons - the care and attention I received on this trip was not matched on any other excursion I did in Cuba. My only regret is that we did not have time to stop off at the lake as we spent a very long time at the tobacco farm - I would suggest asking at the outset that you would like to incorporate this into the plan. Also, I would suggest you do the tour with Luis Ernesto as his colleague is a man of few words so if you would like to learn more about the local area I would suggest you do the tour with Luis Ernesto.Overalls, an absolutely wonderful experience that I would strongly recommend! Don't miss out!!!

The best adventure I had on Cuba, 10 of was went on an 5,5 hours long day trip with horses ridding along beautiful Vinales valley. We visited tobacco plantation (where you get basic info about making of tobacco, cigars etc. and try cigars and buy them), small lake (where you can swim to cool yourself), cave and coffee plantation where you can eat & drink. The guide picks you at your casa and spends the day with you, very friendly guys. Definitely a tour you have to go to experience something different a memory for your entire life. Horses are very well behaved, and is possible to ride them even if you don’t have horse riding experience (no problem).

We spent a day and a half with Luis Ernesto -- on the first day, when our horseback riding trip was originally booked, we had a car accident right after arriving in Vinales. Luis was extremely helpful and assisted us at the police station and then at the car rental. I do not know what we would have done without him! He kindly rescheduled the horseback riding for the next day. As promised, the horses were "semi-automatic" and we all felt very safe (despite very limited horseback riding experience). We enjoyed the stops at the tobacco plantation, the caves, and the coffee plantation. During the whole trip, Luis was extremely informative. He is a very pleasant, intelligent person, speaks perfect English and provided us with useful information about Vinales and Cuba. We greatly enjoyed the dinner at the organic farm. Overall, it was a great experience and truly, one of the highlights of our trip to Cuba. We would definitively recommend spending at least two full days in Vinales.

Luis was a really good guide. First of I loved concept - horse names were Coco Loco, Cuba Libre, Mojito and Daiquiri :) Biggest horse - Coco Loco..Luis explained everything about horses and what to expect from this trip. We went to Tobaco house where we loved Mojitos and stories about cigars. It looked authentic and trustable, therefore we bought also organic cigars. Overall excursion supposed to be 2-3 hours, but was at least 4. We went also to Caves. You can agree with Luis which excursion you would like to have based on Your needs and time. Really recommend this excursion!

We booked two tours with Luis during our visit early October, through the Valle de Silencio and another through Valle de Palmarito. One was horseback another one walking but both were really great. During the tour of valle de silencio (walking) we visited a tobacco house, Coffee farm, a cave and an organic farm which were all really interesting to see. I would recommend this tour, which can also be done by horse to get a great 'all-in-one' package of the Vinales valley.

Thank you luis for this amazing trip through the silent valley of vinales. we can only recommend to do a tour with luis, a very well english speaking guide who takes perfect care for his guests, even if they never sat on a horse before. the horses are friendly & healthy and they are treated well. and maybe the most important thing: they've got an auto pilot mode, so you'll be home safely after a few mojitos ;)We've been to different places: a tobacco plantation – where they showed us how to grow and dry the tobacco and how to make the cigars by hand, to a cave with bats, to a lake, to a farm where they showed us how to make coffee and to an organic farm with a stunning view.We got picked up at our casa and where brought back by taxi so we didn't have to cross the city by horse.

L'esperienza vissuta durante l'escursione a cavallo a Vinales credo sia stata tra quelle indimenticabili che risultano sigillate dall'avventura in quel di Cuba. Certamente nel renderla tale sono intervenuti diversi fattori che di seguito elenco. A prescindere dalla particolarità ed unicità dei paesaggi, dal valore socio-culturale e dalle emozioni che quel tipo di natura regala ai visitatori, sicuramente l'organizzazione del tour osservata a 360 gradi è l'elemento cardine del mio feedback positivo. La guida Luis, che parla diverse lingue come l'italiano, il francese, l'inglese e lo spagnolo, ci ha accolto molto bene. Dopo averci fatto conoscere i suoi cavalli (risultati comodi, tranquilli, affidabili) ci ha introdotto all'escursione con tanta disponibilità e ci ha esposto tutti gli accorgimenti utili per il giro, evidenziando la possibilità di indossare le protezioni (es. elmetto, guanti, ecc) per chi avrebbe voluto. Questa maggiore sicurezza che solo Luis offre tra le guide di Vinales mi ha tanto colpito. Inoltre, tra tutti i tour analizzati prima della partenza ho notato come il programma di Luis sia l'unico a proporre in unica escursione tutte quelle che sono le imperdibili tappe della valle di Vinales.

Wir können diesen Reitausflug jedem empfehlen! Wir können selber nicht reiten, aber die Pferde waren so entspannt, so dass man selbst als unerfahrener Reiter keine Probleme hatte. Die Pferde waren in einem gesundheitlich guten Zustand und die Ausrüstung war von guter Qualität. Unser Guide Luis Ernesto hat uns über vier Stunden lang begleitet und uns viele Informationen über Kuba, die Natur und die Leute gegeben. Er spricht selber Englisch, italienisch und spanisch.

Великолепные виды долин Виньялес - моготе, пещеры, табачные плантации, экофермы: яркая зелень на красной земле Пинар-дель Рио под ослепительно голубым небом.Второе. Луис - прекрасный гид. Экскурсионное сопровождение - выше всяких похвал. Профессионализм, отличный английский, хорошее чувство юмора и искренняя любовь к собственной земле не могут оставить равнодушными ни одного из участников тура.Третье. Лошади Луиса были лучшими из тех, что мы встретили по дороге - ухоженными, рослыми; оснащение - новое и удобное, начиная с седел, и заканчивая шлемами. Очевидно было, что лошади очень хорошо тренированы на данном маршруте, потому как с управлением не возникло никаких проблем даже у новичков. Приятно, что особое внимание Луис уделяет безопасности своих клиентов, что само по себе тоже является показателем профессионального подхода. Очень радует, что на Кубе есть подобные компании, предоставляющие сервис европейского уровня. Спасибо, Луис!

Viaje a Viñales junto a mis 2 hijas ( la menor de 4 años ) y mi esposo , tan pronto llegamos nos recibieron con gran amabilidad, Luis Ernesto es un gran guia, nos dio toda la informacion previa antes de montar los caballos junto con los implementos de seguridad ( muy importante ya que vi que muchos no lo hacen y esto marca una gran diferencia), el paseo es realmente bello, los paisajes son de ensueño, soy venterinaria y me da gusto ver que los caballos estan muy bien cuidados y sobre todo bien entrenados, visitamos la cueva de la golondrina, la casa del tabaco, entre otros, al final del tour terminamos en un restaurante ecologico viendo una puesta de sol magica. Sin duda es la mejor forma de conocer Viñales con un gran guia y estupendos caballos como Coco Loco , Daiquiri.....sin duda Luis Ernesto marca la diferencia por su gran conocimiento de la zona, su buena forma de guiar,los implementos de seguridad y los caballos que estan en excelente condicion.

Consiglio a tutti questa fantastica esperienza, anche a chi non è mai andato a cavallo, per me infatti era la prima volta, ma non ho avuto nessun problema, "coco loco", così si chiamava il mio cavallo è stato bravissimo. Il tour si svolge nella bellissima valle del silenzio di Vinales, accompagnato da Luis che parla un ottimo italiano, visitando piantagioni di tabacco con inclusa una spiegazione di tutto il processo per la produzione di sigari, uno ti viene anche offerto, una splendida grotta naturale, una coltivazione di caffè familiare dove poter provare un ottimo caffè cubano e terminando presso una finca biologica, che è tipo un nostro agriturismo, da dove si può ammirare un incantevole tramonto con vista sull'intera valle che ti lascia a bocca aperta. Qui eventualmente si può godere anche di un'ottima cena.E' stata un'esperienza bellissima...da non perdere!!!!!

L'escursione a cavallo che avevamo prenotato direttamente dall' Italia comprendeva un giro di 4ore nelle campagne di vinales con guida in Italiano e con la possibilita' di cenare in una finca biologica.Un oretta prima di iniziare il nostro giro abbiamo contattato Luis,la nostra guida,per sapere se avesse due cavalli in piu' a disposizione per due ragazzi che abbiamo conosciuto in viaggio e non c'è stato nessun problema.Il pomeriggio e' trascorso magnificamente e Luis traduceva alla perfezione le spiegazioni dei contadini delle piantagioni di tabacco e caffe',ci siamo anche fermati nella "grotta delle rondini"dove abbiamo potuto vedere tra le stalattiti e stalagmiti i nidi delle rondine che le danno il nome e qualche pipistrello.I cavalli sono docilissimi e sia io che mio marito che non avevamo mai cavalcato siamo riusciti ad andare al trotto ,con l' aiuto di Luis,per riuscire a goderci il tramonto dalla finca.Luis è molto competente e gentile ed ha saputo rispondere ad ogni nostra curiosità.Durante la gita abbiamo potuto gustare,compresi nel prezzo dell'escursione, un sigaro bilogico un ottima tazza di caffe' e un succo di frutta naturale il tutto ovviamente direttamente nelle "fattorie"visitate.Ci siamo trovati talmente bene con Luis che lo abbiamo invitato a fermarsi a cena con noi,ma giustamente anche i cavalli avevano bisogno di riposarsi e così dopo qualche altra chiacchiera è andato a riportarli in stalla.

Abbiamo incrociato il sito di Knowing Vinales alcuni giorni prima della partenza ed è stata una vera fortuna! In 2 giorni Luis ci ha fornito tutte le informazioni utili al viaggio che ci mancavano e organizzato i 3 giorni che siamo stati a Vinales. Non abbiamo programmato praticamente nulla se non i giorni a vinales, Luis ci ha consigliato per la casa e una volta scelta ce l’ha prenotata, e l’auto con autista per un piccolo tour di 5 giorni (vinales-cienfuegos-trinidad) sempre prenotata da Luis. Abbiamo fatto 2 escursioni a cavallo e una a piedi e in tutte e tre le occasioni Luis ci ha accompagnato impeccabilmente con simpatia, professionalità e discrezione. Abbiamo visto terreni con coltivazioni di ogni verdura tipica, case del caffè, campesinos in raccolta e distese e distese di piantagioni di tabacco. La piantagione che ci ha ospitati per la visita e la dimostrazione del processo di lavorazione del tabacco era tra le più grandi e conosciute di vinales e Luis ci ha offerto anche un sigaro. Abbiamo cenato alla finca come consigliato nel tour ed è stata la cena più bella del viaggio: un tramonto spettacolare e tantissime cose buone fino a scoppiare! Rispetto a quello che abbiamo sentito da altri turisti il costo dei tour è poco più alto ma ne vale davvero la pena!!! I cavalli di Luis sono una meraviglia, la mia fidanzata non era convita ed era spaventata all’idea, dopo mezz’ora su mojito non voleva più scendere! Luis è una guida preparata e simpatica, consiglio a tutti l’escursione completa a cavallo nella Valle del Silencio e il tour fino alla comunità de Los Acquaticos. Esperienza unica! Grazie mille Luis, senza i tuoi consigli non sarebbe stato lo stesso viaggio!

Abbiamo visitato questo paesaggio incantato a Maggio 2014 e, grazie alla conoscenza, pazienza e alla simpatia di Luis che ci ha fatto da guida, abbiamo passato un pomeriggio fantastico scoprendo luoghi nascosti e viste mozzafiato. Molto interessante é stato visitare la casa del contadino, le piantagioni di tabacco e la spiegazione del processo di produzione artigianale dei sigari....e fumarli.......! Che bontà!Il meglio!!!!!!

Non potete dire di aver visitato cuba se il vostro viaggio non prevede una sosta a viñales....tra cuevas,piantagioni di tabacco a perdita d'occhio,la cittadina con le sue case colorate e altrettanto la gente che la abita...ho avuto il piacere di conoscere x caso luis che vi farà da perfetto cicerone dall'escursioni a cavallo,alle lezioni di salsa al consigliarvi dove alloggiare e mangiare.Da non perdere
