We took a ferry over to the restaurant. Our group was welcomed and we had a fabulous lunch. Really the food was great and everyone was welcoming. The best was conversation with localfishermen. They shared the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. We also got to hear about the everyday life of a local fisherman. The food and views were great!

You will love Granma Island or Cayo Granma. It is beautiful. The ferry ride over is nice and the restaurant has very delicious food. Walk around the island, the homes are beautiful and the people are so kind.

This island sustained significant damage from hurricane Sandy. I do not feel that it is what it once was. It is a short ferry ride. The ferry came and returned just after we boarded. Views are nice from the ferry. There is a sweet little church which is quite basic. We paid 1 CUC to see inside. Probably not worth it but I considered it a donation.Unfortunately, we were escorted around the island by a local who was anxious to sell us souvenirs. This limited our ability to explore. It can happen in Cuba but in my experience if you say no clearly, most Cubans leave. This young man would not.I suggest that you do this if you have extra time.

Faltó armonía entre el sitio y la comida, nos lo reconmendaron, pero no nos sorprendió. La atención fué buena por parte del personal, simplemente esperabamos mayor categoria en la comida.

consiglio un'escursione in questa simpatica isoletta....fatevi ospitare in una casa a pranzo e passeggiando per la stradina che circonda l'isola vi sentirete veramente in un altro mondo!

Lugar hermoso,pintoresco, silencioso, tranquilo.Es posible caminar la isla en pocos minutos y disfrutar de sus hermosas casas y su paz.Pude visitar la escuela del pueblo que es muy linda.Hay opciones para comer(algo caras) pero negociables.La lancha sale desde el camino que va al Castillo del Morro.

las casitas de madera, con entablados muy particulares, pintadas de colores, los palafitos, un paseo por calles empedradas, disfrutando de la bahía enplena bahiía.

unos de los sitios que no se debe dejar de visitar, un 'pueblito' en el mar, lleno de lugares acogedores, y dotado de un paisaje encantador, puedes caminar sin la preocupación de que te atropelle un coche, y con restautantes maravillosos.

Uno degli isoloti meno conosciuti di Cuba è Cayo Granma. Non vi si trovano lussuosi resorts costruiti in riva al mare né monumenti storici da attrarre i turisti né nulla del genere. Si tratta di un piccolo isoloto in mezzo alla baia di Santiago de Cuba sul quale risiede una comunità di pescatori. Le case sono costruite su pali (per fondazione), avendo molte di esse più di un secolo di vita. I bungalow hanno dei tetti di tegole rosse di Marsiglia, balaustre e corridoi e spuntano sulla piacevole spiaggetta che circonda il Cayo. L’isoloto è collegato con la città di Santiago de Cuba mediante traghetti e altre piccole imbarcazioni che vanno avanti e indietro trasportando turisti e locali alla pari. Cayo Granma fa parte dell’insieme di siti e fortificazioni dichiarati Patrimonio dell’umanità dall’Unesco, fra cui il Castello di San Pedro della Rocca del Morro, ed è raggiungibile tramite le dette imbarcazioni. Vi si può mangiare nei piccoli ristoranti, gestiti dallo stato e da privati, e rimanere sulla spiaggia e poi tornare in città, tutto in giornata. .

Cayo Granma se observa perfectamente desde la fortaleza del Morro, hay que cruzar en una lancha, allí puedes encontrar restaurantes, paladares y puedes caminar por el sitio con toda seguridad conociendo la vida diaria del cubano, la aruquitectura es curiosa.

モロ要塞に行く途中の港から渡し船で行ける小さな島です。島で出会った方に聞いたところ、漁師をされている方が多く住んでいて、その方もこの島で生まれて漁師をしているという話でした。島への渡し船は頻繁に出るわけではなく、さまざまな理由で時間どおりに出発しないことが多いようですので、時間には余裕をもって行かれることをお勧めします。実際に自分も予定より２時間ほど長く待ちましたが、地元の方も「よくあること」という感じでのんびり待っていました。船から見える島はカラフルでとってもかわいらしく、晴れた空とのコントラストが美しかったです。島自体は観光地ではありませんので、島の方が暮らしているところを見せていただく、という気持ちで散策しました。とはいえ観光客の増加に伴って食堂も増えつつあるようです。自分が行った時には食堂を建設している工事現場も見かけました。港から市内へ戻るバスがあると島の方に聞きましたが、どこから出ているのか、いつ来るのか全く分かりませんでした。できれば帰りの足は確保しておいたほうが良いと思います。自分は行きのタクシーで交渉して帰りも港で待っていてもらいました。
