Punta Popy is located on the more "local" end of Las Terrenas - further from the centralized nightlife of Pueblo de los Pescadores - and the beach is a little narrower, with more fishing boats, but the views are still beautiful.

this is the only beach (from the ones we had been) that had white sand on las Terrenasthe sea color was beautiful, lots of shadow, lots of italians also... there is no restaurante, but there is a guy selling food there from a nearby restaurant and you get the delivery there on the beach

This beach is a gathering place for tourists and locals alike. Kite surfing and sun worshiping abounds here. About a 10 minute walk from my lodging, I went here several times t fly my stunt kites. Just past the main beach is great swimming and snorkel areas. I felt safe and secure here. Feel free to pick up thrash when you get here. Seems to be alot of it just thrown on the ground. This is the only thing that takes away from this beach.

Nice beach and appreciate the fact the there are loungers for rent. It is a good place to spend your day, with restaurants and snack bars close by.

Enjoyed the Punta Popy beach as it has lovely sand and a nice choice of restaurants and bars either on the beach or on the other side of the street. This beach is a quiet spot to relax.

The beach is amazing during weekdays. During the weekends when locals go in big groups, loud music and the quiet you could be looking for is lost.

Read that this beach was the "least attractive" in LT but we went everyday and loved it. Right across the road from our hotel, free beach chairs, laid-back vibe. The water was so refreshing after sitting in the sun - it felt chilly at first but warmed right up. All we did is lay there or walk down to the more deserted end, but there are lots of water sport options. Great breeze. The water was already gorgeous but after a bit of rain, it was completely clear. Waves a little choppy when we arrived but got calmer each day. Really good for kids.Just steps away from the water, can order meals on restaurant patios or cross the road to sit at restaurants for food and drinks. Many restaurants to choose from. The restaurants also have bathrooms.In our pictures, it looks like hardly anyone was there. There were plenty of people but it was not crowded at all.

For beauty and location, Punta Poppy can not be beat. I would give it 5 stars but the locals drink rum and beer and break the bottles against the trees so you can step on glass if you are not careful. It seems to be a Dominican thing, not to clean up your mess! I spent a lot of time gathering glass and putting it all into trash cans, however the trash cans were already overflowing. Wear your suntan lotion since the sun is pretty strong here and be ready to mix with a very international crowd. If you come on a festival day, there will be literally thousands of people all over Punta Poppy and many food vendorsOverall it is a must visit place.... bring a towel and have fun!

Great for Kite Surfing when the wind allows. There are lots of restaurants and beach bars to sit at and enjoy. Beach chairs and beach beds are also part of the seating at theses bars/restaurants.

this beach looks like a POOL waow. so clean and fresh... food its amazing. you will love it.try to go early so you can enjoy the whole view and the whole day. eat at the beach restaurant its clean and good food. a Cuban guy is the owner one of the restaurants there.

If you're in the town itself as opposed to any of the great options in the surrounding area, this beach is a must stop. Easy for families or groups looking for a place where they can walk to after shopping in LT. Also easy to find parking and places to eat just across the road. Beautiful view

Liked the shallowness, great for young children. Lots of room to play. You'll see kite boarders/surfers here

local para descansar, tirar todo stress, praia limpa, com agua bem azul e mar morno e calmo, uma piscina. Muitos troncos apos uma chuva e com dejetos do mar, mas nada que um bom tenis maritmo nao resolva.

Parfait pour la baignade, peut être un peu bruyante le week-end.Très bons restaurants de plage, arrêtez vous chez Sandro.
