port stanley beach

I grew up in the area, and revisiting gave me a wider appreciation of what a small town can offer. In the summer months, this is definitely the hub of many high school students within Elgin County. Although this beach does not have the tourist draw of Sauble or Wasaga, it's a great family afternoon picnic venue.

I was born and rised in Ontario and over my years have seen all the big beaches in Ontario. Port Stanley was the last beach I ever got to as I went there for the first time after 30years(20 in London). The beach is great and not far from parking and food or beer. The beach is pretty clean and the water is nice during summer. I have many friends who fish here and since I am a avid angler I hope to try my hand at fishing here soon. If the fishing is as good as I hear then I'll enjoy a dinner or two of fresh lake perch! I love that the area close to the beach is not bought by places like pizza hut or McDonalds. Great day for families or with a group of friends. Beer a cooler with cold drinks and snacks.

Blue flag beach....lots of parking and eateries close to water. Great for family outings. Lots of sand with lifeguards on duty. Harbour closeby for boat launches.
