oxford drive-in theatre

Look's to me like she may be closed. Website not updated since last August, and calling their phone number says it's been disconnected.An article in the Woodstock newspapers in October 2013 suggested the property was up for sale. Too bad as the new owners sunk a bit of cash into upgrading the projectors but I don't think they had a clue how to run the business.

I used to love this place, but since coming under new management this place is being run into the ground. The website was never updated, and the staff seemed lazy. They would close the concession stand earlier then previous years so they could sit around with their friends, socialize and watch the movies for themselves. Food prices also drastically increased. It's no wonder this place is up for sale!

I believe ownership changed last year, and since then they have not updated their website so it is difficult to know what is playing. Even the sign by the drive in is difficult to read.Aside from that, the last time I was there, the experience was fine (bathrooms could be cleaner), I hope the management gets a handle on things this year.

I live in Woodstock and this is a old drive in but it's still a great way to enjoy the drive in without going all the way to London. They have newer movies and it's a great way to spend a evening.

Frankly, it's garbage. The smells are awful, omfg the smells will haunt me forever. They advertise playing three movies but don't. The kitchen is deplorable. parking lot is a nightmare.

Drive-ins are a dying breed " if you didn't know ", but a very unique experience. This drive-in is old yes and well weathered but still good value for the family.

I don't know why everyone is talking crap about this drive in, I love it, I have been taking my family there for years since I was a little boy, ya you get your odd problem but the digital sound they have now is incredible , and for me I have six kids, and to go to the theatre is not possible due to the cost, at the Woodstock drive in we can watch 2 movies and enjoy there food for a third of the cost, it's a drive inn that is in the middle of farm country , so if you don't like the smell, go pay threw the nose at a theatre , if you want a nice evening amongst the stars visit this drive inn, it's a not what people say, it's awesome

FIRST : Website is NOT updated.SECOND : price went up compared to a few years back, for LESS service.THIRD : park area is a death trap, swings are broken, completely unsafe.FOURTH : Went inside to get popcorn. The Large popcorn (which isn't even that large) is $4.50 and same for a large fountain drink ??!!!! REALLY....No to mention we waited 35MINUTES for a popcorn.Some "DUDE" in flip flops came and help in the kitchen (since staff is not trained). He brought along his 2 young kids (under 5). And decided to let them hang out in the kitchen while he deep fried stuff... the kids were following him everywhere(including when he was by the deep fryer). He tripped over them a couple of times because they were obviously in his way. Concerned by the safety of the children, I told the owner(who had been there the entire time) that the children should not be in the kitchen... He brought the guy at the cash register, and I discovered he had a big scar falling off of his elbow... Like it was falling off...And they do not use gloves when making your food, they do not use hair nets... That guy was pretty gross looking (no offense but I could tell hygiene was not his number 1 priority.).And to top it off : because they were running behind making pop corn, he decided to poor a medium bag of stale popcorn that had been sitting underneath the head lamps in a large bag and then top if off with fresh popcorn.... like REALLY ???And when we are about the leave the owner says to me " Sorry it took so long, we want to make sure the popcorn is extra fresh when you get it". WHAT A JOKE.Over priced and completely run down.Not only is the staff not using proper hygiene precautions (gloves, hats, proper work clothes)., but they also put the condiments in Tupperware containers, needles to say there was a couple of flies flying around the food.completely disgusted. already told my friends and family not to go there anymore, I will not bring my kids there that's for sure.

Planned a fun night for me and my son, checked the website it said family movies were playing, so we packed the car and headed out. When we arrived different no family friendly movies were set to play??? Asked the kid working the box office and he said "ya it happens all the time, we don't update our website on time" ???? What? Why?? "oh that's just the way the owners run it"Very upsetting to my7 year old kid, the place did look really run down, the park for the kids to play was more of a death trap and the screen was very small, I only observed these things while driving thru to turn around. We may return again , only because the next closest Drive In is London ( that is where we ended up after leaving this place on the night of the wrong movies) Mustangs Drive In

Its an old drive-in with alot of local history. Movies are current and the new digital projection is great. Its an enjoyable family oriented facility and the food isn't that bad either. Enjoy an evening of entertainment and COUNTRY fresh air!

I am extremely dissappointed and actually disgusted with what went on last evening at your your Drive-In Theatre. Four of us decided to attend to view two movies and the following took place:1 - there was a horrible smell like liqid manour or backed up sewage -- DISGUSTING SMELL 2 - constant barking from numerous dogs next door - they barked and barked -- all night long - VERY ANNOYING 3 - the movies playing kept going down -- black screen - several times, at least 50 times -- missing parts of the movie - ANNOYING4 - there is a tall pine tree blocking part of the screen - OBSTRUCTIVEYOUR BUSINESS IS A JOKE -- YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED -- WE WILL NEVER EVER RETURN AND WILL TELL ALL OUR FRIENDS & FAMILY
