Biggest dam once in the world. Still glad to have the opportunity working on a project here. worth for a visit trip!

Our expectations were totally exceeded by the physical attributes, exceptional staff and informative guides. We also toured the 2nd, smaller dam and found it helpful in understanding the wealth of dinosaur fossils found in the area. Consider going out of your way to visit this area and its many other attractions.The municipal RV site was budget priced but above average.

(+) Beautiful surroundings and an easy drive. Lots of deer and other wildlife(-) Lots of people, even late at night.

In the middle of nowhere is this massive hydro-electric dam powering up a third of BC's juice. Yet they managed to build in free and highly informative tours that start off with interactive displays, then bus you into the guts of this behemoth. You will learn lots and change your view of what a dam is and how they are constructed. Heck even the restaurant had decent and sizeable meals. Home-made mustard was to die for.Well worth the drive to nowhere. Follow it with a visit to the Hudson's Hope Museum 30 min away.

Our family went on the tour of the damn and it was very interesting. The kids really enjoyed the bus and all of the neat things inside about electricity. My husband found it very educational. Highly recommend that if you are in the area to take the time to check it out.

Loved the Entrance to the Peace Canyon Damn Centre. Two large Dinosaurs greeted us and my grandaughter jumped but was so curious we did the the whole tour finally. We have been on the Bennett Damn tour several times but always were late in the day and missed the Peace Canyon dam tour that has different hours of operation. Well worth the time and binocular usage available to also watch eagles and other birds.

Nice spot to spend a day trip for visitors to the Peace RIver region. Nice scenic drive to get there. They have tours and a small place to eat there. Its your lucky day if the spillway is open. Also you can drive over the top of the dam and then you know how big it is

There is a lot to learn about electricity and this is the place to find out how they do it. There is a lot of things for the kids to do and plenty of hands on experiments. It is a great family place.

Has a small area where there is dinosaur prints and a cafe open for the summer months. Was able to drive over the dam to get amazing views of both sides of it.

The size of the dam is impressive. It's about a 20 minute drive from Hudson Hope.

It's been a few years but it was really good then! Very interesting and educational.

Big project from the '60's. Not as big as 3 Gorges or Itaipu, but important for BC. Nice, low-key presentation.

Die Touren durch den Damm werden alle 30 Minuten zur vollen Stunde von 10:00 bis 16:00 Uhr durchgeführt und führen ins Innere des gewaltigen Staudammes. Es handelt sich hierbei um einen der größten aufgeschütteten Staudämme der Welt.

Der Dam ist einer der größten Staudämme der Welt. Die Tour in das Innere des Damms ist ein MUSS. Bei der Führung wird eine auf anschauliche Weise vermittelt wie Wasser zu Elektrizität verwandelt wird. Den auf dem Bild gezeigten Spill gibt es leider nur sehr selten zu sehen da das nur gemacht wird wenn zu viel Wasser im Stausee ist.

British Columbia北部、Peace Riverに隣接するHudson's Hopeにあるダムを訪れた。タウンから20分ほどのドライブで、ダムに到着するとゲートは閉鎖されていた。ここで氏名を告げるとゲートがオープンされ車で中に進む。観光シーズンにはダムツアーがあるが、時期外れで自分一人で自由に見学することになった。午後5時、カナダのまだ明るい夕方とはいえ訪れる人はなく、巨大なダム湖に張り出した決して駐停車してはいけないというダムの突堤を低速で走り抜ける。突風が吹いたら少し怖いような不思議な感動、その巨大さに圧倒された。
