This park is in the centre of Richmond. It has a number of community complexes (skating rink, pools, senior's facility, library, etc.) as well as a rubberized running track (used for track and field activities) and playing fields. There is construction going on now (2015 - 2017) to build a new rec and seniors centre but the park is still very usable.
Very quiet and peaceful with paved paths winding through the gardens and ponds. A little oasis in a bustling city with lots of shopping in the mall.
This is a park which can be covered on foot. Enough benches to sit and relax. Enjoyed the ducks and geese. I recall there are tons of rabbits but i guess they are all in hiding during the winter.
This little park was right across the street from our hotel (Sheraton Vancouver Airport), and we took a break from our busy schedule to enjoy a quiet walk here amongst the colourful foliage and water features. The grounds were lovely, even in autumn, and we saw lots of squirrels (huge!), birds, and bunnies. There was even a couple having wedding photos done. Great place to take a break.
A small, nicely laid out park, surrounded by high-rise buildings. It is a nice place to sit and watch the world go by for a little while, but certainly not a destination in it's own right
I met squirrels..rabbits..goose..turtles..ducks..birds.....'canada national flag' flowers...it's a must-go place if you wanna meet small animals in city of richmond
In the middle of busy Richmond is the park and community centre with attached gardens called Minoru. named after a HORSE!Love the horse y statues in the courtyard.recommended
I discovered this park purely by accident while on a recent business trip to Richmond. I had been staying at a nearby hotel when a sign for a park caught my eye. What a delightful surprise and what a beautiful oasis it is, in the middle of what I think is otherwise simply an ugly concrete jungle. The area is zen-like and tranquil, reminiscent of a Japanese garden. It is very tastefully landscaped, with gorgeous greenery, plants, flowers and trees around the lakes which are lined with lovely paths and benches all around. HIghly recommended if you are in the area--great for running (so much better than the busy streets of the neighbourhood!), walking, reading a book, or simply sitting and breathing.
This beautiful park located in the heart of Richmond is undergoing a major face lift! The aquatic centre and ice arena is being expanded, the soccer fields and baseball diamonds are being moved. It will be interested to see how it all turns out. Stay tuned!
Right now it is under heavy construction and not sure what they're doing. So watch as some trails are close and construction machines all over the place.
With beautiful scenery and a nice walk just keep us moving and moving. Ended up we did 5 rounds of the park. Perfect for a Beariful Spring!
While the park is beautiful and there are rabbits which keep the kids engaged, be aware that the public washrooms in the park are permanently occupied throughout the day ( and night ). Apparently the situation had been like this for a number of years and city hall has yet to come up with a solution.
Peaceful setting - right in the middle of the hub of Richmond! We felt safe walking in the park (daylight only) - GREAT green space.
good place to relax and or exercise if you are up for it.it has ball fields and lots of greenery and a running track. In the middleof Richmond
A couple of ponds nestled in beautiful greenery and trees. It is only April , nothing in bloom but our walk around the park and over the bridges were a nice treat in the middle of busy Richmond.
