Great Friendly staff. Eager to provide positive information about Powell river. Lots of information available.
The service is very friendly! The information they give is accurate! When in Powell River, visit this place. It is located on Joyce Ave.
This info centre really has a small town feel to it, with very happy proud employees. They will help you make calls for reservations, assist in a whole tad of outdoor activities, including excellent info on the Sunshine Coast Trail.
So much more than racks of brochures of local attractions with a high school student behind the counter. Clothing, books, magazines and a highly engaged, knowledgable staff that can put you right where you want to be.
The people manning the office were very pleasant and helpful. The information helped us have a great experience in Popwell River. The histories onsite was very informative.
Very knowledgeable staff. Lots of freebies and useful brochures.conveniently located on upper Joyce avenue convenient to the upper shopping center and hotel
The young lady was totally customer-centred with personality-plus! She exemplified client-focused service as she provided us with all the answers thrown her way along with some excellent suggestions to further enhance our visit/experience in PR!
The service was very friendly, the local knowledge/information expert, and advice excellent - what else could one want?!
The person who helped us seemed to be very knowledgeable about the community and provided some excellent restaurant choices.
We stopped in the Tourist Information Centre to find out more information about the Sunshine Coast Trail. The staff were friendly and helpful, but weren't familiar with the trail. We did find out about the historic walking tour of Powell River which we did and enjoyed :). The tourist info centre is 'off the beaten track'... it would be better to relocate to Marine Drive.
Nice open layout with lots of brochures and merchandise. Cheerful, helpful staff offering maps and advise. Their "specials" board outside the door displays last minute travel deals. Great idea!
Powell River is a small town on the west coast of British Columbia. I have stayed quite a few times and have always enjoyed myself. Lovely views, good walking wether a stroll along the coastal paths or hikes into woods. Lakeside camp sites, fishing, sailing, kayaking a good family spot!
The TPRVC described the hikes and provided maps of the areas where we can begin our hikes. However we discovered later on that the hiking areas were not fully developed and lacked signage to indicate where the hiking trail began and we got lost driving around look for it (e.g. Toquenatch trail -- that is part of the Sunshine Coast Trail) We saw a lot of yellow forestry marker signs but we could not see where we should park and begin the hike to Toquenatch even though we planned ahead and gathered advance info from the SCT website [http://www.sunshinecoast-trail.com/dayhikes.html] and the Visitors Centre. We had another confusing experience when we drove around for 1 hour on dusty (single car-width lane) roads looking for access to Duck Lake; we eventually crossed over to Inland Lake and was relieved to get out of the dusty and rock dirt roads that connected the two areas.
Prachtig.
