I have been to the Village Theater on several occasions, the latest we saw ``Wife Begins at Forty`` in July. Fantastically funny play. The theater itself is quaint and cozy. There are no bad seats, drinks before and during intermission available. A great night out and Date spot

This is an absolute little gem run by enthusiastic people with a diverse range of shows including an always excellent yearly panto. It's small, quaint (used to be the train station), has its own bar, and an excellent atmosphere. Next time I'm going is an audience with Margaret Atwood!

Not a bad seat in the house. We went to see Always a Bridesmaid. Very funny. Tickets were only $24.00 for any seat. First visit we will return!

Every small town should value culture as much as Hudson does! This repurposed railroad station is used for a live theatre series, TIFF films, and a series of HD opera recorded performances (similar to seeing the Met on stage at an Imax theatre, but more intimate). Thoroughly enjoyed the summer production of The 39 Steps, and was impressed by the friendly efficient box office, cute little bar, greT sound and lighting, a d overall charm.

This venue is small enough so that no matter where you sit you will have a good view of the stage. Finding the parking area is a little tricky so keep your eyes open.

An intimate theatre, with a great sound system, there isn't a bad seat in the house. Since moving to Hudson I have attended several plays, opera screenings, a comedy concert, an art exhibition and the documentary film festival. All were very well presented and well attended. The play, "On a First Name Basis" was as good as anything I've seen at more prestigious venues. It is gratifying to see that the residents of Hudson and the area appreciate the quality and variety of cultural events that are available locally at a reasonable price. Hudson Village Theatre is to be congratulated, they will have my continued support.

Hudson Village Theatre is really a hidden gem. There is more than just live theatre to see there. Also included is a group called The Film society which run hand picked films from the Toronto Film Festival and other venues, children's plays, the annual christmas panto and many other attractions well worth while. The theatre itself is in a quaint old converted train station where the waiting room is now a modest bar. Many nearby restaurants cater to theatre goers as well so it makes a nice evening reasonably close to Montreal but in a country setting.

It's a very charming theatre. It doesn't matter wear you sit, you can see and hear very well. Parking is easy too.

We attended "Summer of Love" on July 13 at 8PM and thoroughly enjoyed this review of 60s songs by a troupe of 4 musicians and 4 singers. Extremely well done. Artistic Director Heather Markgraf Lowe is directing two of the coming plays, for the summer of 2013: "On a First Name Basis" (July 24-28), "Peggy & Grace" (August 7-25) and "Still in the Mood" (Sept. 25-29). Check for matinees (2 PM) or evenings (8 PM). Tickets online at villagetheatre.ca or call 1-450-458-5361. Tickets were $33.34 for adults. Small, comfy theatre; tickets often on sale until a few days before the performance.
