A great place to catch up if you have younger kids , let the kids have the fun of the water park , While you can sit back and relax catch up with friends . Can be quite busy on the weekends

Great place for kids! free! run by a team of kids working for the YMCA who really have no people skills but it makes no difference, the kids run and play and get wet, that is all that matters!

What a place to go to with the family or to meet friends for a BBQ. Electric BBQ's are available with good sheltered areas and plenty of grassed area to play on. With water cannons, slippery dips and the giant bucket tipping water out regularly, there is a lot of fun to be had by the kids. Further to this there are three giant waterslides for the older kids (and adults). And finally there is the huge lagoon like swimming pool with a cascade of smaller pools dropping down into it for the very young to play in. There are canteen facilities and as the heading says, it is all free.

How many waterparks can you get in for free? Not many, but Leanyer Water Park is free and provides toilets, kiosk, BBQs, life guards, kids play ground, kids water play ground, three slides of varying speeds. Personally I don't like the red slide as it is very dark and you can't see where you are going, but my son loves it. I have been here many times and have even had birthday parties there - you need to book spaces for these. A great place for families and kids of all ages 2 years up to 100 years!

Great afternoon was had by all in our group and lots of families enjoying the free slides, large grassed areas and a variety of seating areas and i think i saw BBQ's

Good for kids and thats about it. Thought it might be a good place to cool off but the water was too hot to make a difference. Slides are the best thing there really. Good for families to entertain kids etc

Run by the YMCA, this water park is open to the public and is free. There are three water slides (one a double-tuber), a water playground and a large, shallow lagoon pool. Great for a hot day!The shop does a roaring trade in hot chips and ice creams. Picnic tables are provided so you can bring your own food.

great place for family to visit, nice cafe to buy lunch . Heaps of fun for all ages. Slide, pool. Everything for a Fun day. Easy access on bus.

We've been twice during our stay and our 6 year old son loves it here. Plenty to do - 3 huge slides which are well regulated by the life guards, big splash area with smaller slides and equipment and large pool. Really great facility with kiosk and toilets, heaps of picnic spots and BBQs. There is also a dry under shade playground and skate park. Free! A bit of a hike on the bus but get the 4,5 or 10 from darwin to Casaurina then get the 9 towards Palmerston.

Seems like great little place but left with sour taste in mouth due to Lifesavers on duty closing glad the pool because they would rather gather at one end and chat than actually lifesave. I know they are volunteers but not good enough. When asked why side of pool with all the shade got closed, got a smartallick answer and was not happy.

Took the family for some fun on the water slide and pool ...... We all joined in and tried all the slides then finished off the day with a relaxing swim in the pool. We brought along a lunch basket and sat in the shade and ate. Followed by an ice cream cone then a relaxing sit down in the shallow pool.... Day enjoyed by all ages.

Family gathering and picnic. Superb water activities, ample parking, that caters for children and adults activities.

Great place to visit for families and it is free. Excellent facilities with bbq's, cafe and shaded areas as well as the wet areas. Three slides were great and different speeds. My 10 year old loved the water playground and the pool was massive and loads of room. Locals are extremely lucky to have this facility on their door step.

Has anyone ever been to green fields water park in Bali. It Costs you a fortune and it is poorly executed version of the Leanyer water park . Leanyer is Free and is 10 time better than greenfields
