We spent our first full day in Bogota visiting this market. It is whimsical and fun. The day that we visited the day was warm and sunny and so many people were out enjoying the lovely day. It was fun to cruise through look at the items for sale, watch people, listen to music and just enjoy the afternoon. A taxi ride from Central Bogota was just 20,000 pesos or about $8.00 for a 20-30 minute drive. We had lunch is a small family run restaurant and just enjoyed the atmosphere and the gaiety of the event. We did buy a couple of items that we did not see elsewhere while in Colombia.

This is a fun place to visit on a pleasant weekend day. It is just outside of the Hacienda Santa Barbara shopping center, is neat, clean and well-ordered. Sale goods are typical of tourist flea markets, but souvenirs are nice enough to take home.It is not too big, so you can still through it in a few minutes, or take your time and spend an hour.

The flea market is fun for people watching and music. But on your way in is a small house that opens up and sells empanadas. Don't miss these!

We came hoping to see cool, unique products from local artisans, but it ended up being booth after booth of seemingly mass produced products that just weren't that nice. If we had known, we probably would have skipped the flea market. That said, Usaquen is a really cool neighborhood and well worth exploring one day. Lots of great restaurants and we saw some galleries and shops too!

We found this well run flea market in the village of Usaquen to be worth visiting. Though the market is usually open only on Sundays, we went on a Monday holiday when it also operated. The stalls sell everything from jewelry to woven goods and many items are small enough to fit in suitcases as gifts for the folks back home. Though food is sold at the market, there are many nice places to dine in the area. I recommend checking out the menus at some of the nearby restaurants.For those who want to do more shopping, the upscale Hacienda Santa Barbara is close-by. But beware. That mall reminds me of a maze and it is easy to get lost in its halls.

I am usually bored in flee markets, but I have to admit that this one was pretty nice. The whole area is full of live and good energy (besides food and people) and you can find many different things from stand to stand. I do encourage you to try out some of the food, it is quite special.If you go to usaquen, you better go when this market is open so you can have a proper Colombian experience

If it happens to be a sunday in bogota you cannot miss the usaquen flea market. Arts, craft, food in a very safe and pictoresque neighbourhood in bogotá. Buy and negociate, talk to the people there. Nice experience.

This is a very clean, well organized market. There are many vendors with a lot to offer if you are looking for small (carry in your suitcase), moderately-priced gifts. Hand-tooled leather - especially purses, wallets, belts and wristbands. Jewelry, coffee, glasswork, miniature figurines, soft sculpture, painted wood objects, woven items, kitchenware, food... The list goes on. I found a number of unique gifts to bring to my family. I am really glad I had a friend with me to do the bargaining.

The cute semi colonial village of Usaquen hosts a nice little street market on Sunday mornings. Perfect in combination with brunch or lunch in one of the many nice restaurants around the market and main square.

Whether it's alpaca shawls, beaded necklaces, CDs of local salsa kings or T-shirts, the flea market is a go-to place on a Sunday afternoon. There are plenty of opportunities for people watching and street performers play, food concessionaires are out in force and you can sample the best roasted corn or sweets. It's pure Colombian fun and a good place to pick up gifts for home at a reasonably price. The actual "flea market" is a location above a parking lot and while there are some nice booths there, you'll find many more a few blocks away not far from the historic Usaquen church. Several blocks of stalls filled with various artists work -- some handmade and some manufactured. This flea market is not what you might expect from a U.S. flea market. It's arts and crafts, food and a few antiques. No junk. It's all good fun and there are lots of places to eat on the street south between the stalls and the Hacienda Santa Barbara, a very upscale shopping center with fountains and open courtyards.

You will always find something new at the Flea Market. It is very nice to walk around and see different crafts, artisans, artists, and antiques. While you are there, you definitely have to try out different restaurants. The only down side is that there are a few people trying to hustle you to buy books or give them money. There are also many sellers that are not licensed to be there.

You'll be pleasantly surprised by the Usaquen Flea Market. I can't pass up a hippie market, and more often than not, I walk away with the feeling that they're all the same. You know: candles, soap, incense, sandals. Not so with the Usaquen market! The variety of merchandise was widely varied, fairly priced, high quality, and credit cards were even accepted. I managed to go there twice during my last stay in Bogota, and from now on, I'll plan my trips so that I can attend this market more than once. So what did I buy? Coca leaf cookies, ice cream, fruit juice, ribbon scarves, and Venetian shoes. And there was a plaster of paris monkey that I passed up, and I can't get it out of my head. I have to go back!

After a great lunch today we needed to walk off all the great food we ate and Usaquen is just the right place to do that at. Today's weather made it a great shopping/walking afternoon. Parking can be a pain but be patient and find a parking lot. It will be safer!!! If you don't mind the crowds, the cars then Usaquen is the right afternoon entertainment. There are plenty of vendors with a wide variety of items from originals to home made. The prices at some of the vendors are reasonable but always look at your items and the quality before you buy. Stroll along, enjoy the scenery and you just might find that unique item you have been looking for.

We visited on a Sunday afternoon. There are some interesting artisan products here but its mostly commercial stuff. The best part of this place is the plethora of local restaurants (especially dessert shops!)

The market is all along the main street and spaced out so not crowded. There is a large variety of items, much of them home made so original. The prices are reasonable and the quality looks good. The area is nice, an old street with a park that invites you to stroll a bit more. A nice half day outing with sufficient places to eat.
