I take here all my friends who came to visit me in Brno. Very nice and interesting place. The price is nice as well. But what I like the most are the tour guides. They are really friendly and helpfull. There are couple of rooms all described living and working conditions in medieval Brno (like alchymist chamber, medieval storage, torture chamber etc.). Definitely dont go there if you are claustrophobic or have some problems with small close spaces.

We liked the way the tunnels were preserved. The guide was nice and told us more than was on the audio guide. We learned about how people used them in the past. Very good experience, this should be rated better

I was told the guided visit was in check and given an "audio tour" device. The guide came, never smiled and never ever even tried to say a single "welcome" in English or any other language besides Czech.I was told this was the nicest underground visit and decided to f in… Inside you are taken along a set of underground chambers. They are ok and the audio guide helps you understand where you are and what is the room. But remember to start the audio guide **before** each next room, otherwise you will be rushed to step forward before the guide finishes.In summary, I felt it didn't deserve the high entrance fee.

These were interesting, storage space for wine, vegetables, food etc. A guide showed us around and they also supplied gadgets with recorded information. It was quite atmospheric and well set up.

A great labirynth under the whole city. It is extremely amazing!!There was a tour in english so everyone could understand everything.Don't forget to visit it.Totally worth it.

We did the portion of the underground that included the torture section. We had a live guide and an audio guide (the live guide did seem redundant). It was quite interesting, and just the right duration, about an hour.

I had seen flyers about this tour and I made time to take it. Well worth the admission. The audio-guide did not keep pace with the guide, but that gave me time to look around and see what had been described and those things that were not. I am sure it has been cleaned up and made accessible for tourists. It gave you a feel of how it must have been used originally. It was interesting and well presented. I would recommend this to anyone interested in history. The time passed quickly because it held my interest.

Despite the fact that you have to join the useless tour in Czech language with personal audio-guide in English, it is worth to go through the history of the town in the middle ages. It was educating and interesting time.

After our visit to the underground ossuary, we were a little disappointed by this. You can't go in on your own, you need to join a timed tour. However, our 'tour' was just being led from one room to another by a girl, who pointed out the next number to press on our audio guide. It took far longer than necessary, and got uninteresting really fast. I didn't think it was worth the money, the wait, or the time.

It is not often you find mini city under a city and it is amazing the amount of medieval tunnels and rooms you find under several places in Brno. Worth the entry fee

Guides do the tour in Czech, but foreigners are provided with hand held gizmos giving descriptions in the usual western European languages.The vegetable market is one of the oldest preserved city squares of Brno. (It is undergoing massive redevelopment at present). The first mention of the square dates from the early 13th century when the square was called the Upper Market. The present name dates from the 15th century.Local cellars were established under individual houses in the middle- as well as modern-ages, most dating to the baroque era. The cellars were mainly used for food keeping, beer brewing and wine maturing in barrels, as well as refuge at time of war. Initially however the cellars served as the background for the market life of the Vegetable Market, which survived here for more than 700 years.Originally the cellars were not interconnected. Many of them were only discovered recently through research of the Brno underground. To become accessible to the public, the cellars needed static supports and rescue against destruction.In 2009 the cellars underwent a major reconstruction that allowed for their modern use. In that context, all the cellars were interconnected into a single whole. Thus the unique system of historic cellars and corridors were unified under the name “Labyrinth under Vegetable Market ”.The Labyrinth consists of two separate parts. The part designed for social and cultural life is situated in the bottom section of the square towards the Reduta Theatre.You get an idea about how the cellars were used in the period after their establishment - for example how food was kept when the cellars served as refrigerators, and how the oak grates held beer and wine barrels or foodstuffs in various vessels and bags. The cellars also show period lighting from the first torches, to tallow or paraffin candles and petroleum lamps. The exhibition is completed with items of everyday use found in the course of archaeological research in the vegetable market.The tour also includes a visit to an alchemist laboratory that casts light on the famous doctors, pharmacists and physicists that lived and worked in Brno and made it famous across Europe. The local wine tradition is evidenced by an old wine cellar and a historic inn with Moravian wine tasting. The negative side of ancient periods are represented by replicas of the town pillory and the madman’s cage, located in the marketplace in the 17th century. And finally the prison exhibits the punishments meted out to dishonest craftsmen and merchants.

Beautiful historic square,right in center of old town.Daily market takes over during the day and it's worth exploring.Do not forget to visit Capuchin monastery,which is right in the square.well worth visiting

It is very interesting tour if you speak Czech language. If not, they give you audio guide, recorded messages but group is moving fast and when you finished listening audio for one room, everybody is already in another and you just end up chasing them :) there are so many interesting items, and whole underground story looks like worth hearing, too bad we cold not enjoy tour.

We took a tour of the Brno Underground (which exits at the outdoor vegetable market) during our trip to Brno. The tour came with a recorded message in various languages. The area had been stocked with various items which would have been contained in the underground during the time period it was used, which made the tour even more interesting. Definitely take this tour.
