brno observatory and planetarium

I actually visited this place more often than any other tourist attraction in Brno. I have soft spot for it. Plan your visit in advance they have really good web page. There is something happening almost every day.

The staff of the planetarium is very nice and very patient replying to many questions about space.I was here for the 3D cartoon, this would be just perfect for the kids. The other time, I was here for planets observation (Moon, Venus and Jupiter) and the explanation of night sky. We had a great time and it was very educational too.

I didn´t ever imagine how fun space can be. But the enthusiasm in this building is incredible and it will just get under your skip. The exploratorium in the basement is put together with such a great concept and the digitarium is just mindblowing, though at some points the movie was moving in ways that actually made me feel sick from the stomach :DAnd what is most mindblowing is the light-sound instalation on the outside. Simply? Do not miss out!

When you get a chance definitely visit this place on the top of the Kravi Hora hill, it is worth of seeing!

Really perfect place for relax/education/science! Huge full dome digitarium with great performences for all age people,audio guide in English available,friendly & skilled staff. Our 7 yrs son was really excited!

Celebrating my mother´s nameday brought us to the place wher you enjoy the universe in many ways. We started picnicking at the top of hill called Caws Rock with the nickname MONTE BU. We had sandwiches and red wine to be strong enough to fly inside and outsice our galaxy. We started at 5 pm listening to the story of our solar system at the exploratorium, than at 6:30 we continued with the programme in so called littel planetarium - yes, it was really a good relax under the stars .Finally at 7:30 we loved the film in digitarium. During breaks we had time enough to take pictures, today I will share only few of them, be prepare for many more. And even better recommandation is - visit the place, have fun and take you own snaps.

Po velmi citlivé rekonstrukci, kterou se z hvězdárny stala architektonicky překrásná stavba, se přidalo exkluzívní digitárium. Filmy nás doslova pohltily do děje. Dokáží přiblížit vesmír tak jasně a jednoduše, že u každého filmu zažívám téměř ve čtyřiceti "aha efekt"! Návštěva stojí za to i s dětmi, ušetří mi to hodně vysvětlování.

Il Planetario è ben organizzato, gestito da personale ben qualificato. Interessante per la didattica e l'insegnamento delle forme basilari dell'astronomia.
