It's an old gatehouse in the city. Take a picture anyway as it's lovely however you wouldn't stare at it for long.
I like it but I don't know why. I guess because it's Iconic for me.Trip Advisor wants a longer review. It's impossible. Does that help?
The only preserved gate into the old city, entering through the arch it is easy to see how entrance was controlled.
Underwhelming :( Just like a lot of other "attractions" in this disappointing city... There's many more beautiful capital cities to visit before this one.
It's a tower, with a passthrough at the street level. In the passthrough on the ground is a disk with distances to other places. Be sure to view the tower from both sides. The museum inside is skippable - not a lot to see and the armor is poorly displayed. However, there is an outside balcony at the top that offers some great views of the city and the castle. Entry price also includes a visit to the pharmacy museum next door, which is much more interesting. Lots of stairs in the tower, so leave the stroller behind.
The view up this one is soooo nice. Especially the very steep rooftops. You can see the castle, the bridge, the main square. Pretty everything from up here.
A small walk around this gate is worth it. It's one of the entrance to the Old town area. You will have people playing music here and many restaurants, cafes located here
this gate is quite interesting because of history... but the only one thing that you have to remember is> if you are walking through this gate you should stop breathing for a while until you are under this gate and your wish could come true.....
I cannot comment to much about Michael's Gate as my husband and I just walked through it to get to the church, it looked very nice from the outside.
An important landmark and reference point used by locals to point out directions or guide through routes. Cute little tower with a clock on it, brimming with old world charm. Get lost in the winding cobble stoned streets, admire the tiny bridge that you pass and beneath it a library that comes alive in summer! See it as a part of your walking tour, or simply pass through it, if its on your way. Don't forget to take a feet photo with the golden directions compass pointing towards the major cities of the world!
This landmark is located in the heart of Old Bratislava. It's surrounded by cafes and shops. The structure is interesting to look at and photograph. It's just one of the many landmarks, great, but that's pretty much it.I recommend taking a few pictures and enjoy the area.
It's a lovely building that marks the start of the old town. Quite a landmark.Seems to be the dropping off point for taxis.
Ok while you walk through you have to hold your breath and make a wish, which then is supposed to become true.
This is a great place to stop for coffee or maybe lunch during your walk around the old town. The Tower and its clock look great from the cobbled streets but there is not much else. Another great photo opp.
Not a big deal if you miss this one. Just another street with cobbled street, few restaurants and pubs.
