a very nice place with a lot of pigeons flying freely and play with childrenall the buildings are old but well maintaineda safe place to take a stroll at any time of the day or night

I have viisted this square in sun and rain and always lovely. Fountains, buildings, lovely church at one end, and shops and cafes near by.

it is a wide, beautiful square and the building resembles a castle. The fountains in front of it make it look even better. Plenty of nice restaurants around, nice pedestrian area.

This square is where you would arrange to meet friends, view the musical fountain, go ice skating in winter or enjoy open air concerts in summer. The Prefecture itself is an impressive building which open onto thew square although the entrance used is on the other side by the "English Garden". Plenty of bars in the vicinity, espcially adjoining the department store "Mercur" which borders one side of the square.

It is a small but beautiful garden with a nice fountain in the middle which give you a refreshing feeling in summer days. It is enjoyable in each of the seasons, because there are pink magnolias that are so beautiful while in blossom in April.In summer the garden is so colourful with so many flowers. In autumn the trees are gorgeous with copper and gold foliage and in winter the trees are decorated with hundreds of lights.

I liked the wide square and the beautiful , well kept building of the Prefecture. It is very impressing.

A lot of people, many terraces, nice views, no cars or bikes, entertainment for everybody during the weekend..

Except winter period, almost every week from Thursday to Monday - but some weeks and before you can attend an open/free concerts, exibitions or festivals, in Prefecture Square renamed Mihai Viteazul Square. At 8 o'clock PM starts the musical lighted fountains nearby - the songs are instrumental and vocal..

Carino il centro, ma piccolo,con alcuni bei palazzi rimessi bene in sesto. Nulla di particolare o "antico". Cittadina tranquilla in ascesa. buon cibo

É la piazza centrale del paese. Giardino piccolo ma molto curato. Fontana musicale. Di sera diventa un viale illuminato molto carino e relativamente moderno. Caratteristica l'architettura delle costruzioni in zona. In particolar modo i tetti delle abitazioni e dei palazzi comunali veramente belli. Lungo il viale troverete il centro commerciale principale, qualche altro negozio, sala scommesse , bar , ma soprattutto un piccolo negozio che vende dei prodotti da forno fantastici....... vi consiglio ovviamente 1 bel covrigi caldo appena sfornato ( sarebbero i pretzel ) con una birra gelata.

A Craiova mi sono fermato, dopo un defatigante percorso di oltre cinque ore in auto da Timisoara, sulla strada per la Bulgaria. Era una tappa obbligata. Come turista, lette le guide, non mi ci sarei fermato. E confermo la valutazione a cose fatte. Però il piccolissimo centro non è male e la piazza nemmeno. Alcunio bei palazzi in giro ci sono e l'atmosfera del sabato sera, complice un concerto di un festival internazionale (così si definisce), era simpatica. Quindi, merita la sufficienza.

Die ungewöhnliche Fassade der Präfektur gibt dem Platz eine besondere Atmosphäre. Ein schöner Platz zum Verweilen. Dass ein Bericht unbedingt 300 Zeichen haben muss, finde ich unsinnig. So jetzt hat er 300 Zeichen.

Piazza scenografica a forma rettangolare, ampia e ricca di aiuole e spazi verdi. Curioso il dislivello sul lato destro guardando il palazzo della prefettura. E' il cuore di Craiova e attorno ad essa gravitano negozi, centri commerciali e ristoranti. Non e' emozionante ma carina. Peccato non ci sia altro a Craiova, come monumenti.
