We went today and this was our first visit. Prices were average I suppose but defo think they should be reduced in the winter season especially when you're told someOf the paddocks weren't open! One thing that was bizzar was the fencing around the animals, we got free bags of food to feed the animals with but we found it very hard due to the fencing, especially our little niece. I understand that it may come down to H&S but you struggle to feed them as the fence is quite a distance to where the animals are( this was defo hard for our little one to feed them. Animals are lovely and we overall liked the farm but think there is room for improvement. DO NOT waste your money on the cafe near to the entrance.. What a disgrace! The food is awful and over priced! If you have a chisel to get the food from your upper mouth then you may be fine. ( DRY DRY DRY).. If we go again we would defo take a packed lunch. Some staff have no personality or social skills! South lakes zoo is 100% better .. You can actually see them more and touch them.. Get rid of the second fences.. That's why we go to stroke the animals!!! Gift shop is expensive like most. Toilet facilities.. Well they're what they are! Overall it's a lovely farm with some good parts but this establishment should think of its pricing especially in the winter season! 3* at best!

Plenty to entertain children of all ages,both indoors and outdoors'Staff are attentive and helpful.Shop is ideal for small children' gifts.

My little boy loves this place, it's fantastic value for a full day of fun! You can easily spend the whole day there! But highly recommend a picnic because the cafe can get very busy! The farm has everything! Outdoor and inside play area, fantastic opportunities to feed the lambs, and all the other animals on the farm! I love this place so much I bought a yearly ticket! Can't rave enough about this place!

That's a great start for 2015, - thank you. We aim to provide an enjoyable family day out, and good value for money too, so we are delighted you think we offer fantastic value. We are currently open weekends until 27th March, then everyday until the end of September. Hope to see you again soon.

It is lovely to hear you are now visiting the farm with your grandaughter. We first opened in 1981, so we do receive more and more visits from people who came as children and now return with their own families, or grandparents like yourself, who used to bring their children. Many thanks for posting your comments, we really appreciate people taking the time to write a review. The farm will reopen for 2015 on 14th February, and are expecting some kid goats during half term. Lambing time starts around mid -march, so our new crop of pet lambs will be looking forward to their bottles sometime in March should you wish to visit again.

Really pleased to hear you had a great time at Hall Hill Farm with your Grandchildren, I see they loved the barrel train ride and milking our lifelike cows, as well as the adventure play area and the tractor ride. We were delighted to read your comments. Our daily programme of events includes sheep racing, donkey rides, barrel train, tractor and trailer rides, and Puppet shows at weekends and during the holidays,there are lots of opportunities to get up close with the animals from chicks and rabbits to pony grooming, I am pleased to hear the animals were a real favourite with your Grandson. Our tearoom serves some delicious cakes homemade on the premises and we also offer Fairtrade produce, but we also offer great picnic facilities too.Thank you for taking the time to write your review..
