For me this is the jewel in Shrewsbury. It is a beautiful and unusual church. Definately worth a visit. Several steps up to the main entrance so enquire about access if this is a problem before you visit.

Superb, well worth a visit. On our visit the bells were ringing and inside the organist was playing and the sound was excellent. Beautiful stained glass windows. Unusual round main body of the church with very tall tower. Excellent views from the church overlooking the River Severn

The is a fascinating circular church that has a great atmosphere. The font is easy to miss but have a close look at the material from which it is made.Luckily when we visited someone was practicing on the organ which is well worth hearing. It is not usually very busy, in fact we were the only visitors. In the graveyard is a left over from some filming that is worth searching for. It is the gravestone for Ebenezer Scrooge. On Fridays it holds a free concert. We were told some interesting facts about the church by the cleaner so don't be afraid to ask.The church is well worth a visit.

This Georgian church is very fine and a great example of how to mix the wonderful original features with its obvious present day use as a living church.

I attend the annual Remembrance Day parade in Shrewsbury & am always in awe of this church's stature. As we march around the corner towards the church to begin our service, it always seems to capture both my attention & also serves to further focus on the sombre nature of the service. That said though, the church recently went through a refurbishment & currently stands as an immaculate structure both inside & out. The organ is also more than a match for the structure & condition of the rest of the church. In short, with it's location & the fact it immediately overlooks The Quarry Park & the River Severn, you should certainly place St Chads on your list of places to visit... Preferably close to the top.

Well this church is the best churches in Shrewsbury, the vicar is welcoming and so is everyone who goes to the church everyday and the Sunday service is always something to come along too, we went originally because we wanted to get married there and needed to attend for 6 months but after we got married we decided to continue to go to the church. The church in it self is a beautiful church it has the best features and the organ is amazing, it an attraction that I recommend any tourist to come along even if it a one of you get to see what a beautiful church it truly is.

A church that is truly 'in the round' - the pews are all curved. Before Christmas a wide range of enterprises in the town had decorated Christmas trees which were on display around the perimeter of the ground floor and the gallery - a great way to celebrate the life of the town. The most arresting tree had been left undecorated except for a star at the top. It represented the 'Shrewsbury Ark' dedicated to help the homeless and vulnerable in the town who lack what others take for granted at Christmas.

We thoroughly enjoyed joining the BBC Radio Shropshire Christmas Carol service, held inside the beautiful St.Chads Church Shrewsbury, earlier this evening. The atmosphere was truly seasonal, made perfect by the many Christmas trees surrounding the circular internal space, made possible due to generous local sponsorship. The service was led by vicar of St.Chads, Father Mark Chadwick with organist Anthony Pinel and conductor Richard Walker. The talented choir, aka The Phoenix Singers led the congregation through the service of traditional Christmas Carols, punctuated between with readings delivered by reporters from Radio Shropshire. We left this joyous event with a feeling of Christmas love and cheer. The service will be broadcast on Radio Shropshire (96FM) on Sunday 21st December at 7.00 am And again on Christmas Day at 1pm

It is just so different. There is a `hall` as you first go in. To your right is a chapel specifically to celebrate the armed forces who defend our country. In the main body of the church, its rounded in shape, and beautiful. View the ceiling also. Take time to sit and wonder at this wonderful place of worship.Shame about the overgrown graveyard so overgrown we could not find Ebenezer Scrooge's gravestone! For refreshment, try the Lloyds (Wetherspoons) bar just down the hill.

Largest circular nave in the world?Ebeneezer Scrooge is buried here. A wonderful cultural stop off in a great town.

A great historic church building and the only grade 1 listed for its particular construction. Very attractive stained glass windows which when installed the congregation thought they where to brightly coloured so they where painted over to darken them.Free entry

This church is known locally as 'The Round' it is the church that I attend. It is full of history and atmosphere. It is a very friendly environment, also has the military chapel situated within the main church buildings, centrally located in the town centre - well worth a visit.

We visited St Chads during our walk around Shrewsbury and were delighted at this unusual circular church very peaceful and beautiful. The side chapel for the local regiments was also thought provoking. Well worth the visit.
