Enjoy going to this theatre. Pleasant night and a good ttribute band. Shame a few more people don't go to make it a better atmosphere. Pleasant enough bar area, drinks slightly expensive. Only criticism is that you can't tak your drinks in with you. Should think about getting plastic glasses, as every other theatre I've been in allows you to take your drink in.
Good venue - comfortable, helpful staff. Good views and close to the action. Saw Ross Noble there, So much better than the big soulless arena's
As a family we love to go here.. Its local reasonably well priced and usually have a good variety of shows to watch. We tend to visit 3 or 4 times a year and see a variety of acts... I would advise you to avoid the 2 seats either side at the very front, they are cramped, hard to get in and out of and you feel as though you are sat on the stage.
We watched the Rhythm of The Dance, a story of Irish dance and had an excellent evening. The staff could not have been kinder and the theatre itself was clean and well run.
I attended each week during the winter and spring months to go swimming and go in the gym. I found it a friendly place and good value for money. Its best to take out one of the membership types to save if attending on a regular basis.
We went on the final night if this production with our daughter and two granddaughter's. The eldest is nearly 3 and is Oz mad and the youngest is only 9 months old. The staff couldn't have been more helpfull and the performances were all of a professional standard. Similarly the sets, costumes and the humor were all excellent and our eldest was enthralled throughout and was moved to tears when the show finished because she wanted to see it again! The dancing and acting was faultless and even an occasional mike fault didnt phase them. All in all a great family night out. Thanks to everyone concerned
We went to see 'Re Take That' a tribute show in the theatre. The show was excellent but our seats were near the front on the left. Our enjoyment was hampered by sound distortion from the huge speakers. In fact some people actually found empty seats further back during the interval. I agree that The Forum has been renovated but I don't think the seats in the theatre have been replaced. Although there was plenty of leg room the seats were uncomfortable as the backs sloped back too far. We noticed seats on the end of rows that are not used as often had straighter backs. Perhaps the popular seats are worn out and need some attention.
We what to see this years pantomime Snow White and the seven dwarfs we went last year and it was absolutely amazing!! All of the dances and songs were upbeat and jokes were funny. Well onto this year where to start the jokes were all reused from last year songs were boring and half of the cast couldn't sing including the prince and although Snow White could she was boring after a while and overall it was really a half hearted performance. Well long story short we left in the interval and I don't know what changed this year but they should sort it out as truthfully last year was amazing! So overall a waste of money and time.
