We are runners and enjoy long runs without traffic and plenty of room to share running space with bikers, walkers and pets.
My wife and I ride our bikes here. There is plenty of parking and nice restrooms at the trail entrances. The only bad thing I can say about the trail is that when it rains hard the area between GA 9 and Majors Rd floods. Plenty of shade along the trail and benches to rest on. Lots of people on the trail when the weather is nice and you will see the Forsyth County deputies riding the trail on bicycles.
I enjoy biking here. There's plenty of shade, a few road crossings, and the scenery varies. There are a lot of people but which can be frustrating and more so when they don't stick to the left. However the people also make it a safer area.
This was a nice trail and a nice thing to do with a swampy area. We went on a Friday morning and it was surprisingly crowded, like it was a weekend. We biked and I wouldn't really recommend it for bikers because it wasn't paved the whole way, there were many sections on the trail that were of wooden planks and not much fun for road cyclists.
I walk here regularly, the trails are maintained well as are the boardwalks. Safe place to visit, great for getting some exercise either walking, biking or running.
I walk the trail at least 3 or 4 times a week. It is safe, clean and the shady cascade of the trees makes it a cool experience in the heat of summer.
I can't always get there for a run, but when I do it is always a nice place to go. Flat, and some sections can seem like a giant wooden treadmill, but much nicer than being incinerated on a concrete sidewalk along some road. Can't wait til it links up with the other greenways!!!
Great place to walk, run, or take a leisurely bike ride. The scenery is nice, as the trail follows the creek and much of it is on an elevated boardwalk through a wetlands area. The only negative thing was that several cyclists on road bikes came flying down the trail at high speed. They should stay on the road or slow down IMO. But it's a great trail and I will go back!
I come here every once in a while. Sometimes to run and other times with my kids with their bikes. It's pretty secluded and rarely busy, but depending on the day/time of day, you do/can encounter the soccer moms walking 3 abreast on the path thinking they own the place. It's very safe and the spots where you do have to cross a busy intersection are well marked/have traffic control/are not that often. The scenery is good and pretty quiet. One of these days, they'll connect this greenway with the Alpharetta/Roswell one.
Great place for a walk & nature watching! Especially for young children! You can see turtles, rabbits & sometimes deer.
Great place to get a run in or bike without the hazards of texting/cell phone drivers putting your life in jeopardy. It closes at dusk. Restrooms available.
Clean, peaceful, mostly flat place to run, bike, walk, etc. The boardwalk areas get a bit uneven and can lead to a stumble.
great trail for biking, walking, and running. NOTE: there are a lot of areas on raised decking due to swampy areas (this would make me think twice about taking rollerblades)
We are very fortunate to live in an area with such a nice attraction. wonderful running track with nice views. While I would say it is very safe, you still should use common sense and not run alone after dark. Watch for Bikes.
We go to the greenway at least once a week and usually more. We enter through the trailhead at Fowler Park and run or walk. The trail is well maintained and there is access to the creek if you want it. Plenty of shade if you don't want the sun and also areas where you can get some sunshine. Highly recommended for walking, running, or biking!
