Stopped by to taste the wines produced by this local vineyard. They were very busy Valentin'es Day, yet understood customer service. There was a particularly upset customer who demanded to see the owner. She complained because she had to wait 10 minutes at a very busy tasting bar. The owner handled her beautifully and was able to get back to servicing the rest of his guests. The value of the tastings is reasonable - $12 to taste 5 and a free glass. The have 5 of their own wines and also offer samplings from other local vineyards. You have to try the Trilogy and the Tramminette. Both offer complex flavors that have great mouth feel and surprising flavors on the palette. Great depth for such young vines. I can't wait to see what later vintages will offer.A great place to visit that offers wonderful customer service and a family environment. The staff truly care about their customers and are building a great fan following. Anytime you are in the Ellijay area, you must stop by and enjoy a tasting.

Their wines are amazing and reasonably priced. This small wine testing place built with a German flavor and good taste looks cozy and friendly. My wife and loved the 2012 Georgia Merlot is a luscious wine with flavors of dark stone fruit. This robust full-bodied red has a lush-mouth feel and a lingering, smooth finish. We definitely be back to get Georgia Merlot stocked.

We were thrilled to try two new vineyards that opened in the fall of 2014 in the Ellijay area. We were enticed to visit Engelheim for our first stop because they featured jazz on Saturday afternoon and also offered local food bites. The tasting room was low-key, featuring a mix of Engelheim's production and some from two other Georgia wineries, with the source clearly identified on their menu. While we were disappointed that the Resiling was not available, the Traminette wine was the hit of the visit. It had beautiful floral notes, while not being too sweet. Gary Engel, the proprietor, was a charming host sharing his zeal for winemaking and his mission to give back to the community. We will definitely be back to try the Riesling and will continue to stock the Traminette in our home.
