stave wine bar & market

My husband and I visited on a Saturday night and while it was packed we were able to find a spot at the bar and it didn’t feel overcrowded. The staff was very friendly and explained their concept and offered great suggestions of meat & cheese offerings base on the wine we selected. They also had a great selection of craft beers that my husband switched to after his first glass of wine. The staff was attentive without interrupting our conversations. The menu for both beverages and food changes frequently which makes visiting fun and always a new experience. Loved that I could try some new wines without having to commit to an entire bottle. I have also been here for a girls happy hour and had the same experience!

Went to Stave Wine Bar this weekend with friends. I believe the bar just opened in December.We really enjoyed the sampling of wines as well as the cheeses. Of the white wines we tried, we liked the Luli Sauv Blanc. They also had an amazing grenache, but don't recall the name. Of the cheeses we all favored the Piave from Italy.Very glad to have a true wine bar in the Bloomington-Normal area. Peoria needs something like this!Great job on the decor, atmosphere and wine selection!
