The apple cider is delicious and we always buy a few extra frozen 1/2 gallons to keep all Winter. They have all manner of jams, jellies and honey you won't find anywhere else. Also pickled fare that will surprise you. Increasingly the big draw in the Fall, besides the apples, is the apple donuts. It's the only time we eat donuts and they are worth the calories. There are goats, and a giant metal American Indian here that used to advertise for a hvac business in Danville. It's a family outing place that never disappoints.

I have visited Curtis Orchard multiple times, last fall being the most recent. I have never been disappointed in the service, nor the quality of the services and products they provide. In fact, it's such a staple in the community that people talk of their apple cider and apple donuts year round in anticipation! This place has a little something for everyone, though I will say their prices are a little high on their products if you're a WalMart regular. From pony rides, to a corn maze, pumpkin picking, apple picking, a petting farm, and an entire country store, there really is a lot to look at. To enter Curtis Orchard is no fee, but to take part in any of the activities you would need to buy some tokens running between $1 and $5 if I remember correctly. Two activities adults can enjoy are the corn maze and the tractor ride, the later of which you get a history lesson on Curtis Orchard and the family that runs it.My favorite part about Curtis Orchard is the wide variety of gourds they offer. Not only can you get decorative gourds, but you can get many different colored pumpkins as well! Pink, red, orange, blue, green... So many varieties to choose from and different shapes! They bring a bunch up next to the main building for you to choose from or you can make the trek through the apple orchard and out to the pumpkin patch to pluck your own. You can also get pre-picked apples inside or pick your own apples at the orchard, of which they have too many varieties to name.If you enjoy fall festivities, this is the place to be in the fall. At the very least you should stop by just to try out the apple fritters and apple cider! They're delicious!

Curtis Orchard is a great place to visit, whether you're a couple or a family. There is a play area for the kids, a petting area and the Flying Monkey Cafe for a light lunch. Of course the main reason to visit is APPLES! Beginning in late July, early crops are in, and the apples are wonderful. Come late fall, there are pumpkins to pick as well as apples, and the apple donuts--made onsite- are a family tradition for football, tailgating, birthday parties. They are THAT good. Lots of parking and friendly staff. Need to taste an apple before choosing which to buy? They're happy to cut you a sample. It's fun for everyone. ,

Great place to take the kids to find a pumpkin, or two. Apple doughnuts are wonderful. Very friendly. The apple pie is also great.

Curtis is so fun! You can buy syrups, jams and salsas in the shop that are delicious. It is fun for both pumpkin and apple picking. I would love to take my family there. I really enjoy going with my friends.

Being a local, I've watched Curtis Orchard grow from picking apples and shopping in the little store, to the extras it now has. My last trip was summer 2014 where we had 6 adults and 4 children ages 12 months, 13 months, almost 3, and 3 1/2 years. All the children enjoyed feeding the goats. There's a hand washing station right next to the animals. There's a fenced in "village" of Little Tikes type play houses and we spent quite a while playing in that area. You can push strollers easily down the path. We also went inside and had wonderful apple donuts and cider. Others have mentioned that this is pricey. If you're use to getting a dozen donuts at the grocery store for $4.00 then it is. If you go to a place like Dunkin Donuts and pay closer to .99 for each donut, it's closer to that. We had planned to eat lunch there but you have to watch which days and times the meals are available. We missed it that day. The store is filled with wonderful jars of jams and other country store items. I usually stock up before they close for the season and give them as gifts. Outside there's mazes and an inflatable slide ride and even pony rides on the week-ends. There's also live music on week-ends again check the schedule to know times/dates. Restrooms are clean. This is a family run business and the Curtis' are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Of course, apple and pumpkin picking are all a part of this wonderful place but you can buy all ready picked apples too, as well as apple pies. There's a cooler with jugs of cider. The 3 yr. olds loved the apple sipper cups. They offer field trips where the kids can see how the apples are picked and made into cider and how they get their honey from hives right there on the property. We like watching the apple donuts being made. There are tables inside and outside for eating at. During the week it's less crowded and the kids can play all they want. There's no admission charge.

I found this business to be very nice with courteous employees and a wonderful atmosphere. I did however find it to be a bit pricey, I did enjoy our visit here

We had fun at the pumpkin patch. We planned to pick apples but at $12 for a tiny little 3-4lb bag we opted not. Like a carnival everything required tokens...$5 for the corn maze... $2 for the kids to go on the playground. Overall it was fun and the apple donuts are yummy. Crazy busy and packed with families and college students but it is a friendly crowd.

This year is the 75th Anniversary of Judy Garland's The Wizard of Oz.Come to Oz well a little bit of Oz really, in 1977 Mr Paul & Mrs Joyce Curtis started Curtis Orchard, it now has a plethra of Wizard of Oz Related items around the inside of the building. They have a Tin Man holding an Apple, goats and chickens outside, as well as play areas for kids. They have the Flying Monkey Cafe that serves lunch from 11am to 2pm each day, they sell their wnderful apples, and other fruits, apple cider, donuts, and lots of other ik naks.Something new this year is Traditional Shortbread with a Healthy Twist from "The Scotsman's Kitchen" along with Brandy Chocolates and Coconut Chocolates in the chiller. Well worthbuying a bag of each. I will be buying more on my next visit!! The Scotsman's Kitchen is a Local company in Urbana, and there products are wonderful!!

We stopped in on a weekday so a lot of the activities were not going on but we did do the corn maze, the kids had fun with that. The giant slide is a little pricey for $1 a slide, but it was nice that it was offered. The store and cafe were both reasonable and we had a very decent selection of pumpkins and gourds to choose from. Overall the experience was good and even the 10 year old enjoyed himself! LOL. Give it a try!

This is a great family destination. Enjoy the corn maze, inflatables, pony rides, wagon ride, and new this year - sling shot range! When you're done having fun, you can head inside to the Flying Monkey Cafe for a bite to eat. Don't forget to try a fresh apple donut and apple cider! Before you leave, you can pick a peck of apples yourself, or just grab one of the ready-to-go bags of apples. If it's pumpkin season, pick your own pumpkin in the pumpkin patch! Don't forget to pick up a few more apple donuts and a gallon of cider to take home, along with any other number of knick knacks or gourmet snacks you'll find in the country store. The only downside is that some of the items in the store are a bit overpriced. However, I'm willing to take that in exchange for being an authentic, local food source. Plus the apple donuts are DELICIOUS. Also - cider. MMMMMMMmmmmmm......

Children can enjoy seeing the farm animals up close and go through the maze here as well as pick apples and pumpkins. We like finding new varieties of apples and treating ourselves to the apple drinks and doughnuts. The menu at their Flying Monkey Cafe is limited but the food is fresh and good. It's a pleasant place to visit.

Take the family for a great time taking pictures, feeding the animals and roaming the farm. That just gets you started! Their gift shop is chock full of home-made goods: jams, sauces, pickled vegies, fudge and more. Then there's the apples, peaches and vegetables in season. You can enjoy something different every time you go, since they have seasonal activities such as a corn maze, face painting live music, kettle corn, pony rides and more. Their variety of apples is second to none, and, depending on the month, you'll find a variety to your taste. They have a restaurant that serves lunch every day in Sept and October, and of course have all you'd want to celebrate the Fall season. Being a short distance off I-57, we stopped by for a short visit and were pleasantly surprise. It's a wonderful place for the entire family - bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the day. We give it an A++ and think you will too!
