Fantastic orchestra. A real value to any community. Always a great selection of music. The ticket prices are reasonable. The only down side is that if you have a center seat, the aisles are on the end and therefore it is inconvient to reach your area.

We always have a wonderful time at the Elgin Symphony Orchestra concerts. It is close to home and reasonably prices, what more could you ask for.

Great opera artists accompanied by the world class Elgin Symphony Orchestra. The best of both musical worlds in one location. If you get a chance to see Il Volo or the Symphony - Do It!Packed in like sardines at the Festival Park outdoor venue is my only complaint

Truly one of the gems of Elgin. Its wonderful Symphony plays a great selection of programs throughout the year at the Hemmens Auditorium in downtown Elgin, with classical programs, a number of Pops shows and a great Christmas program that sells out every holiday season. It would be difficult not to rank this as Elgin's #1 attraction, and it should not be missed by anyone who loves fine musical entertainment.

The ESO is a topnotch orchestra for a small city. The playlist for this concert covered a wide range of Italian or Italian-inspired music. Ticket prices are what you'd expect for a full-size orchestra but you can usually find a deal.

The Elgin Symphony has long been a source of professional quality symphonic music in the Chicago suburbs. The musicians are skilled, the director is talented and energetic and the music selection is diverse and lovely. They don't stick to only the "Old Chestnuts" but it isn't all unapproachable cacophanous, avant garde music either. They feature a nice mix of classics and usually add once shorter piece to help expand some of the listener's horizon. You don't need to go into Chicago to hear excellent live orchestral music.
