enchanted forest

We stayed at Grizzly Jacks for two nights and as part of our package got preloaded cards with money on them to use on the rides; important to note they were only for the rides and attractions, they couldn't be used for any of the games. Our three year old enjoyed the big slide, bounce houses (there are three of them), and the big drop ride, but that was about all she could do ride wise because of her age/size. Older kids seemed to be having a lot more fun because they could enjoy everything. We did play a few games and while they seemed expensive we did enjoy them and picking out prizes with the tickets we won. Overall this wasn't a bad place to spend an hour or so, but for a three year old it wouldn't have been worth a visit if we hadn't already been there and had the rides paid for.

Good indoor play park with rock climbing wall, bungee trampoline, laser tag and zip line. Best for ages 8-12. Older kids are easily bored and younger need more options than bounce houses. Very dark inside and no real security.

We came down for a mini-vacation over a holiday weekend and stayed at the Grand Bear Lodge that runs the Enchanted Forest. It is a small indoor "amusement park" made to resemble a forest theme. I call it a Play Park because there are only two real "rides". The giant slide like the ones at carnivals, and a drop-type ride. The other attractions include a zip line, a bungy/trampoline attraction. Laser Tag, bounce houses, rock climbing wall, and two level rope course. They also have several arcade games where you can win points toward little prizes. You have to load money on an Adventure Card, and use that to pay for each attraction. The Good: There are things for all age groups of kids. With your stay at Grand Bear Lodge, you get a $30 credit for each guest to try out what they are interested in. Prices are fair for each attraction and the food in the restaurant was pretty good. If you stay at the Lodge, you can get your water park wristband and Enchanted Forest Adventure Cards when you pre-check in as early as 1PM, and they are good until the end of the day you check out. So if you arrive early and stay late, you just have to keep your luggage in the car when you don't have access to a room.The Bad: When we went, not all the attractions were open. It was a holiday weekend, so staff levels were lower, but it just seemed like they should make sure they have enough people to run all the attractions. Adult choices are limited, so most of the credits for me and my wife were wasted. The credit you get with your stay cannot be used to play the arcade games, so that will cost you extra if you let the kids play. You can, however, let your kids use your credits if they want to do things multiple times. My kids got bored with everything after the second time and there wasn't enough to keep them occupied for mare than a few hours. The hours were limited, so check to make sure you know when they will be open.Overall, it was a nice extra activity for the kids when combined with the water park located in the lodge. I highly recommend you stay at the lodge if you plan on going to the Enchanted Forest.

We stayed two nights & the kids had fun which is who this trip was for. We received ride cards because we were staying at the Grand Bear Lodge. The staff is very friendly but the place is just okay. The food is terrible! We went into Utica to eat. Worth the short drive for much better food.

Nothing to do in here now that all the rides have been removed. This place will be closed within 3 years easily.

Received passes to play with our stay at Grizzly Jack's. It was fun and added variety to the fun at the water park. However, the price for the rides is high and we would have not spent money here had it not been included with our stay at the resort.
