Drove from Atlanta to Atlantic Beach for Valentines day dinner. Was worth the money and the trip. Great food and service. Love our waitress Leeann. Will definitely go back.
Friendly staff and good food without the compromises they might have made to please the average American diner. Been there for trivia night and had a good time. Pretty good beer list, too. Not the cheapest meal, but that's okay.
Loved the lamb sliders with their special sauce. Went for an early Friday night dinner and we were fortunate to get a table. Quite the local place to be. We had been before when visiting family and planned to go for traditions sake. Not disappointed.
The Irish stew is great if they could only import potatoes from Ireland and the butter too!!!! the service is always top notch and friendly.. owned by 4 irish sisters that always give back to the community as well as incredible food and a little irish singing on Sundays... DONT MISS IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, I'll start by saying that my food was so good the first time I came back in December, that I had to come again. This time, I came with my family. Since there were 4 of us, we each got something different so we could try a few things. I got the shepherds pie again, and by far, it's the best shepherds pie I've ever had! There is something very flavorful about it, and it is anything but bland. My aunt got the Guinness stew, featured on DDD, and it was amazing. My mom got the lamb sliders. She is a big fan of lamb and enjoyed them. My dad got the corned beef and his response was, 'I have to bring my buddy here!' Very unassuming location, but don't pass it up! It's worth the stop!
Found out about this place from the locals when I got stationed down here with the navy. Visited every Irish Pub I could find in every state I was stationed or traveled, this is hands down the best! The food is incredible gastropub fair, artistically prepared served quick hot and amazing, yum! The bartenders know their stuff, the place is emaculately clean, the ambiance is groovy Irish and the locals are always hanging out, gray place to grab a bite and a pint, or hang w friends.
Culhane's is operated by a group of Irish sisters who have totally recaptured the feel of a really good Irish pub. Needless to say, you have a full selection of Irish pub fare complemented by a superb selection on tap (even Guiness Kilkenny). This is a must stop if you are in the area and looking for the kind of experience that you would otherwise have to be in Dublin for. It is a local favorite, so be sure to make reservations unless you are willing to spend a long time at the bar waiting for a table.
I went to this pub, and it was a great experience. The food was delicious, and the service was great. Thank you for everything "Jerk Face Jim!"
We love taking the kids here for the food and atmostphere. Never a dull moment with the crowd and the staff, love the pie and the drink specials are great.. Good times here!
Great classic Irish fare and atmosphere. Totally enjoyable experience all the way around. I also checked in on 4 square and got a nice special of bailieys and something. It was great! Highly recommended.
Excellent traditional pub food. Excellent when the pipes are making a show. Don't were your best clothes sometimes you will have the lingering resturant smell on you. But the food is great and well recommened. Can get busy around dinner hour i you want no wait on the dinning side go in a little early.nOme
Tasty food in an Irish pub. Nice selection of beer and wine,, plenty of parking, owned by 4 lovely Irish Ladies.
My wife and I ate here on 4/12 and the place was packed. I had potato leek soup which was very creamy and had a good flavor, and Guinness Stew which was very tasty and filling. My wife had the fish tacos (2) which she liked very much. They had a large menu to choose from. This Pub is worth the visit.
Visited on Tuesday evening, and again the following afternoon. Culhane's is one of my favorite restaurants in the Jacksonville Beaches; good food and Magner's Irish Cider! The first evening my wife made do with soup and salad [doctor in the early AM], I had the bangers and mash [Irish sausages with mashed potatoes and onion gravy]. Tasty and well prepared. Next afternoon, my wife took over the bangers and mash, while I ventured to the Dingle Fish Pie [lots of shrimp, salmon and, I believe cod, in a creamy base with peas, potatoes and cheese], a strong competitor to Irish seafood chowder. The only thing lacking was Irish soda bread. Our service on both visits was superb. We will be back!
good bar nice beers. The atmosphere was very good. We were there at thursdaynite and they had quiz nite. As we are dutch, most of the questions we could not answer, because they were about american history and movies. But we had a good drink and a nice time nevertheless
