I have been to Roland Martin marina several times for Bass Tournaments but my Husband had never experienced the Big O so we decided this would make a great Honeymoon. We charted an 8 hour trip with captain Dave Schneider and had an amazing day catching fish on artificial and shiners. We opted to do both based on his suggestions and we are so glad we did. We tournament fish so shiners are not our thing but we enjoyed the pace of catching fish after fish. We fished the afternoon with artificial baits and Captain Dave helped up hone in on the pattern and catch lots of nice bass. 49 bass to be exact.. It was a great day on the water. Captain Dave went above and beyond providing us with snacks, save face wind shields, also he was very polite and considerate to having a woman on board. We brought our own poles and bait but never needed to touch it. His gear is top of the line and rigged perfectly for the application. Over all we had a great day on the water and I would not settle for any other guide in the future... "Not ever Scott Martin himself" per my husband. As far as the resort itself..... I have stayed her many times and it has always been above par. I will let this time slide due to the pleasant memories I have of this place but my Husband was not impressed on his fish visit. The front desk seemed to be aware of the issues and ensured us that they are being addressed. Still that being said the awesome day of fishing saved the Honeymoon vacation! See ya next year Captain Dave!

Love the food, the store, the tiki bar, and the accommodations! If you like bass fishing, this is a great place to stay. We have been here probably 4-5 times.

A lot of action because of the many fishermen and captians.Excellent seafood, beer and cocktails. A great setting along the canal where all the fishing boats exit.

We went for the obvious which is fishing. The staff was helpful and friendly. New beds in the room which were very comfortable. We had mike and Jim for guides and they were fantastic. Plenty of fish were caught. The food service side of the resort was not as good as the rest of it. I would call it more of a fish camp than a resort but it was great for what we were doing.

We enjoyed a wonderful Father-Son (and grandfather!) bass fishing trip this week. Our fishing guide, Ben, was wonderful at both teaching us about bass fishing and taking us to some excellent spots to find fish. We did a 4 hour trip, but could have easily enjoyed a full day of fishing! My son is an reasonably accomplished bass fisherman and actually learned a lot from Ben's guidance. After fishing, we enjoyed a fantastic "Okee Burger" at the marina. Wonderful trip! We will come back in the future!

Roland Martin is a large marina complex on Lake Okeechobie with a shop, restaurant, tiki bar, condo, motel and RV space rentals. They also book bass fishing trips. We went in Sept. 2014. During summer they only book 4 hour trips starting at 6 am. Later than that it's too hot and the fish don't bite. Fishing is catch and release and shinners are the bait. Capt. Terry was our guide and one of 7 permantent guides. He proved friendly, knowledgeable and taught us how to catch bass. There were three of us and we each caught about 3 bass and several other trash fish, garr and mud fish, and a water moccasin. It was all great fun.

We spent our vacation at the resort and enjoyed every minute there. The lodging was perfect, and they had everything you would want on premises or near the resort. They have activities, Resturant and Tiki Bar, store and laundry facilities. They do their best to please everyone, and its very relaxing and laid back. No hustle and bustle here, it was beautiful there. The only problem we had was not having better weather. The people in Clewiston are really nice. We also enjoyed area attractions. Something for everyone close by. Loved it there! Cannot wait to go back!!!

We took a guided fishing trip out of Roland Martin's Marina. Our guide, Jerry Ware, was great! The day started out very slow and at first we only caught 3-4 fish, none of them being bass. Jerry didn't give up and was positive the whole time, taking us to a variety of spots on the lake. At our last stop, we hit the jackpot and caught at least 15 bass. Jerry was great with the kids, giving them advice on how to hold the pole and reel in a fish while also being encouraging even when one or two got away! He was also very knowledgable about the lake and its wildlife. Before leaving we had a delicious lunch at the Galley Restaurant. The fish tacos and fish sandwich were excellent. My daughter loved the fried Gator tail.A definite stop if you like to fish!

Bass fishing on Lake Okeechobee is awesome. Definitely the Bass Capitol of the World out of Roland Martin Marina.

We went to the Tiki Bar for dinner. We were a group of 26 people. We had one waitress. From the time we got there, it took 30 minutes to get our drinks and then another 30 minutes to put in our food order. 45 minutes later the food for all of us arrived. After that is was impossible to get that waitresse's attention - she was busy with other customers. The bills arrived all mixed up - we had drinks on our bills that belonged to other people. The worst part is that because we were a group, the 15% gratuity was already on the bill (God I hate that). When given cash, our waitress asked if we wanted change - really - we were already forced to give her a tip, no way was she getting more. The food was good but no more then that. It too bad because this is a great location but they need to step it up and give their customers better service. Not sure if we will ever go there again.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We had two spectacular days bass fishing and cannot wait to go back again! They are very organized and even offer bag lunches.

We were there today with a group of friends (15) on motorcycles. The first place we found where we could all be seated somewhat together did not have table service, so we asked and were told we could have two of the larger tables in the bar area. Well we only got ONE of those tables, squeezed 12 of us around it, the other 3 had to sit at a table out in the sun. We sat down at @ 1:15, ordered our food and still hadn't received our food at 2:00. One of the girls in our group said she heard the waitress say that she forgot our order???!!!! Noone came in the 45 minutes we waited to ask if we needed anymore drinks or to explain why our food was so delayed. At least 2-3 other tables seated nearly 30 minutes after us, got their food, ate and left before any food finally arrived. I went and asked to speak to management. 6 of us left without eating after going and asking why we had waited so long without getting our food.. The remainder of our group ate their meals. Noone from management came to apologize for the LENGTHY wait or to offer any kind of compensation for the wait. It may have been the waitress or most likely the need for more waitresses. If management knows they get packed like it was today, during 'season", why wouldn't they have more servers, unless of course, that would cut into their profit.

What a disappointment this place was - dirty room, lousy greasy food, and maybe the worse service I've ever had. I had to wait for the ladies in the gift shop to finish their cigarette breaks (which occur every 10 minutes apparently) to pay my bill. What kind of dump allows their employees to take breaks at the same time ? Tiki Bar ? Forget it. There are 2 sections, smoking and chain smoking. The dock master is a crabby little drunk elf-like man who is never around when you need him and useless when you do. And the neighborhood is a dangerous ghetto. Do yourself a favor and go to Jolly Roger's Marina.

At couple times. They had a great salad bar with chicken salad. It was so good. Had lettuce with spinach, cucumbers, onions, eggs, cheese, pineapple and so much more. 4.95 plus taxes you got meal and drink

Sat outside on the deck in the sun when the rest of the United States was shoveling snow! Had cold beer and delicious fish tacos. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed. By boat or land when your in Clewiston you need to stop in.
