Along with a film that covers everything about maple syrup, a knowlegdeable salesperson and lots of interesting products we enjoyed finally learning about the differences in maple syrup. The prices are reasonable.

We needed to get a few maple items while in Putney and this is a great place for that purpose. We also found several items for grandchildren and enjoyed cups of locally-made ice cream - a great treat. The (probably) family member was gracious, and generous with the ice cream. The shop is close to the center of Putney and very much worth the stop.

We are so happy that we chose to drive just a little out of our way to find Hidden Springs Maple! The authenticity of the place, combined with the excellent inventory and extremely helpful staff make this a must do any time we are anywhere in Vermont! The prices of the syrup are the best anywhere, and they carry what we call Grade B (grading system to change there, soon) which is very hard to find. We purchased some as gifts which they make very easy as they have all sizes you could possibly need to choose from. The wonderful woman working the day we visited gave us excellent directions to a covered bridge (on Route 30) that can be driven over. It's the longest covered bridge in Vermont. The directions were very clear, and easily followed. It was a lovely drive as promised, and we spent quite some time enjoying the area.Hidden Springs has items other than maple syrup, such as Walpole ice cream, and other locally made items. Visiting Hidden Springs is well worth the effort to find (which really isn't too difficult to find at all)! We were so pleased with our visit there, that when we stopped at Hogback Mountain Gift Shop later in our trip, we suggested other visitors there wait to purchase the highly priced syrup until they were able to visit Hidden Springs Maple!

The real thing!A natural sweetener, and a real treat. Hidden Springs offers great service, shipping direct. I always order some of the smaller containers as Christmas gifts.

I prefer real maple syrup, and I am confident in the product from Hidden Springs. This is the second year in a row I've purchased Hidden Springs maple syrup for my own pantry and for holiday gifts.

Unlike the other tourist traps, this is a great establishment that supports local farmers made in vt at reasonable prices. We met the owners n operators today and they were extremely helpful n even let us sample n buy goods on their day off!

My husband and I went on a small road trip through VT and NH in the heart of fall. I would highly recommend it. The colors are BEAUTIFUL. Regardless, we stopped by this maple farm and we were very impressed. We got to see how the local syrup was made, tried free samples, and shopped around their 'general' store for a bottle to take home. Not only was there local syrups, but they had a variety of locally made items. We picked up a bottle of Granny Blossoms Bloody Mary Mix, and would love to go back for more. Great place to see!

We stopped on our way to the White Mountains. Lots of maple items along with other things. We got some maple smoked cheese(for later) and an ice cream (maple of course).

This is a fun place to shop for everything Maple! You can get maple syrup, maple cream, maple candies, maple ice cream (as well as many other flavors), as well as Vermont cheeses, crackers, a whole lot more great edibles, and some wonderful gift items. It is situated in a beautiful post and beam barn. Come in the winter and sit in a rocking chair by the wood stove which is always going, and enjoy a complimentary coffee or hot mulled cider. There is every grade of maple syrup, and often they run a 25% off on select maple syrup. If you go to Putney this should definitely be a stop you make.

What more could you want? Huge selection of in-house boiled maple syrup and excellent ice cream. Other gifts and food items are nice as well. Their building is a huge barn reproduction. Definitely worth stopping by. I'm a local and go here frequently.

We recently stopped at Hidden Springs Maple to purchase delicious maple syrup. We were pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable it was. The owner was friendly and knowledgable and we enjoyed talking with him. We also purchased pancake mix and cheeses and delicious ice cream. When in the Putney, Hidden Springs is a must see and worth stopping inn.

We were in the Putney area for a week near the end of September to see the New England fall colors for the first time. One of my favorite stops was the Hidden Springs Maple store. First the store is a beautiful 2-story building constructed of huge timbers from an existing structure. Second, the store was just what I expected--everything Maple. The friendly staff taught us about the different grades of Maple syrup and offered tastings. Once I picked my favorites, I had to pick the amount and containers of syrup that I wanted. There are jugs, glass bottle sealed with wax, glass maple leaf bottles, and more. I purchased some cute sampler sets for my family and friends. To go with syrup, you then need pancake mix, maple sugar, maple hot sauce, maple fudge, maple jelly bean, maple cookies... . The selection is great. The products are either Hidden Springs or from other local farm and business. Oh, and don't forget to enjoy an ice cream cone while sitting next to the wood stove while gazing out the full window wall at the back of the store. To make shopping easier, the Hidden Springs staff will package and ship your purchases home so you don't have to worry about dragging packages onto the airplane and the 3oz bottle rule. While in Putney, stop by the Co-op for a fun food selection, the General Store for more Vermont products and a deli lunch, and JD’s Pub for a feeling of “real” Putney with wonderful food and friendly people.
