I love this course . I play at least weekly and always look forward to it. The food in the clubhouse is good - when it's available - mostly just the usual clubhouse burger/hot dog when I have there for golf. When they do have an extended menu, it's delicious. The problem is, there is no knowing when that is available. The biggest downside is the management. Not friendly and at times disdainful of their patrons. I have joined all the "loyalty" clubs but never hear from them. Perhaps their tee times are always full all of the time and that allows them to care so little about reaching out with any special events or discounts (however small). Most businesses relish their email lists and constantly barrage with email touting their product. Not so here. Perhaps that is why the bar and restaurant area always seem deserted (would it be so hard to offer breakfast burritos or have a dinner special to temp us to stay?) I have come to the conclusion that I will make my tee time, play with my friends, and leave as I would any other public course rather than expect that I will have reason to go out of my way to stay and eat or go there for any reason other than a round of golf scheduled as any other course. Too bad - could be a destination for non-golfers as many other public courses have found.
Have played this course a few times with my dad. The layout is solid, nothing tricky and good shots are rewarded. Each time I have played it, the course has been in very good shape. The staff is nice and the prices are OK for what it is. I'd play it again.
While my husband is an avid golfer, I am not; nevertheless, everyone should eat here. The food is amazing, especially for a golf club, the prices are reasonable and the service is friendly - though not expedited. Be sure to try the black bean humus, it's off the charts.
The restaurant at the clubhouse is great, good food and drinks. The Pro Shop is okay, though a bit small with limited choices. Their indoor event space is actually great, as we had a birthday party there and the staff was very accommodating. For golfing, the driving range is nice. But when it comes to playing 9-18 holes the course is just hit or miss. There are too many public leagues to make golfing here in the afternoons any fun. You'll end up just waiting at the tee boxes most of the time. We went and only played 7 holes in 2 hours, then left. If you are free and lucky enough to get a AM tee time, it might not be bad...
You want the feel and look of a true links style golf course, you have found one at the Golf Club of Dublin. You are treated like you are at one of the top private country clubs but it is open to the public. The pro shop has top quality equipment and the food and beverage is above average. After the round my friends and I sat out on the deck were they were serving lunch and drinks. From this area you can view the golfers finish up on the turn at 9 and 18. Call for a tee time and look for the discounted specials.
This course offers one of the few true links style courses in town. Facilities are very respectable, however the staff lacks enthusiasm. I would play again, and recommend this course for play.
Important golf stuff first: index 7.9, male, 65, wife index 26.2, 64. Tee 68.5 Slope 126 (apx) at 6300 yards. Shot 76, wife shot 98. Love golf. We're here in Columbus on business. Dropped our sweet Bentley at doggy day care Pet Palace in Hilliard, OH. The Golf Club of Dublin just 5 miles down the road. The pro shop staff and starter were great. Senior rate $29 and change. Wide fairways with water on 17 holes. The water only comes into play if you don't take the time find the green zone for your next shot. . The fairways are lush and tight. the ball sat up perfectly. A challenge to all those who write golf reviews--If you say a course is not challenging say why and post your USGA index and the score you earned with zero gimmies, rake ins, etc. It is so bogus for anyone to talk about the challenge of a course unless your are playing from the tips and are a scratch (or better) golfer. The greens were punched two weeks ago and are healing. Granted, still a little bumpy, but that's okay. They were cooking burgers on the grill outside today. Lots of homes, but the OB only came into play on #9. I would play this course a hundred times. Just perfect. We were paired with a member who originally planned to play 9 holes. We had so much fun, he finished 18. Great folks in Ohio. Delightful time.
Links type course with tough fescue rough - greens are great and people were super friendly. Starter was a big help on first hole and kept each group a good time apart. We felt almost alone on the course.
I was a guest at a wedding here and must say the venue was nice but the manager was horrible! We waited 15 minutes to get a drink at the bar and when we finally made it to the bar the wedding coordinator was screaming to shut down the bar and refused to serve anyone at dinner service time. After dinner we finally got a couple drinks and came back to our table which was removed to make room for the dance floor. It is not a big deal to remove the table but when asked where we could sit they were rude and told us they didn't know but the table had to go. We ended up leaving early because of the service.
Nice course to play if your are looking for a decent public course. Not overly challenging but fairly well maintained and greens fees are reasonable. A little higher than some of your usual local courses but location within Dublin city limits makes it convenient for business or small outings. Residents and seniors get a nice break on fees plus they usually have discounted rates on the internet.Annually they offer a loyalty club program that is a great value and pays for itself the first time you use it and remains good for the rest of the calendar year.Nice outdoor patio area when the weather is nice and decent driving range/practice area.
A great round and great design. Good staff. The beer girl came around often the greens were great and this course was a blast to play.
Love the course, love the pub, so glad it is now a public course. The crab cakes are to die for. Friendly staff but the place is not being managed well. No out reach at all.
My husband had a golf outing there and I was able to hang out. The course looked green and nice. The clubhouse was quiet and cool. The bar was well-stocked and the tenders were friendly. The pro shop was nice and had a decent selection (for the golfers, of course). We had dinner there also and the BBQ pork was wonderful! The bathrooms were clean and well tended to lso.
We had our wedding at the Golf Club of Dublin and it was a beautiful setting. We actually had it in January and the large banquet room overlooked the snowy golf course right at sunset. It was gorgeous. The food was excellent and we had a wonderful, attentive staff. The bartender was amazing!
2度オーナーが代わり、段々プレーフィーが高くなっていますが、街中にあり、通常ならプライベートになってもおかしくない立地。楽しませて貰ってます。
