If you are there, stop but don't make it a destination spot. It is not that big and can be done in minutes.

This is possibly the largest display of Millersburg Glass anywhere. It is displayed in glass cabinets along the walls that are lighted to show the pieces . Those in the Museum are very knowledgeable about Millerburg Glass, its history and value ! A worthwhile stop when you visit Millersburg,Ohio in the heart of Amish Country !

First off, please note that the official Millersburg Glass Museum was been moved from downtown Millersburg in 2012 to its current home located by the Victorian House at 484 Wooster Road Millersburg, on the north side of downtown. This collection is fairly large with approximately 400 pieces on loan by private collectors. The Millersburg Glass Company, founded by John W. Fenton of Marietta, Ohio, existed for a little less than 2 years under Mr. Fenton. It was then bought by a local businessman and operated the glass factory for a few months and then closed down. The Company started out by manufacturing high quality crystal glass before branching into iridescent glass. The collection at the Museum contains many vary rare pieces, including the crystal glass, the Peoples Vase, valued at over $100,000.00, and a piece of Radium Glass which was created by Mr. Fenton at the Millersburg Glass Factory in 1910. Mr. Fenton created the best iridescent glass at that time, and these rare pieces are on display for your appreciation. The pieces are displayed to show the transgression of the manufacturing of the various pieces. The displays are very-well lit to bring out the radiance of each piece. There is also a video and many old pictures depicting the birth, growth and demise of the Millersburg Glass Factory, and a host to who will discuss the Museum further and ask any questions. Glass enthusiasts will not be disappointed! The Victorian House is also a must see and right next door. Tickets for the Glass Museum can be purchased there and they also offer a nice combo price for both the House and Museum.

the glass on display showed excellent craftsmanship. Our host was very knowledgeable about the history of Millersburg Glass. The floor space of the museum was limited and so the glass was displayed very closely together. It was a little overwhelming. I think we would have appreciated the glass a little better if the display had been more spread out and we could better focus on each individual piece.

This is the place to go to learn more about Millersburg glass. I grew up there and never even knew anything about it. The guides are very good and the new location is well-placed near the Victorian museum. Don't confuse this with the shop in the village center that says Millersburg Glass - shame on them.
