My wife and I attended the Toledo Symphony Orchestra's Christmas program. A very talented group that was great for all ages.
They were all fantastic, the music, performances, lighting, all first rate. My daughter is so excited to have gotten an autographed tour booklet. Made the experience a life event. Since she is a music student, this was Her first musical concert. Loved it. Thank you...
My daughters and I always enjoy the "shows" presented by the Toledo Symphony Orchestra. The music is wonderful and the presentation is great. She loves the introductions so that she sees the instruments. I would recommend this family activity!
TSO travels around, and I seem them when they come to Findlay two or three times a year. Kevin Pollack, the conductor, is charming onstage, and in person. They play so very well.
The orchestra had a daring program in October, which we enjoyed. And it is affordable. It was a very pleasant evening.
Great performances. I have never been unhappy with a show!I have seen The Elvis tribute, Cats and many others. The masonic has seen better days and looks a bit run down. If you want to see a show here, get your tickets early. The best seats are up stairs and center
The Toledo Symphony is above par. Stephan Sanderling is a creative conductor in sync with the musicians. They typically perform at the Peristyle at the Toledo Museum of Art. It is a beautiful venue you don't want to miss if you enjoy classical music.
Attended one of their many concerts last Christmas season and was very impressed not only with the caliber and selection of music but also with the conductor (sorry I cannot remember his name) Even people who do not like orchestras would have liked this performance.
A small intimate venue, and national class performances for a great price--the guest conductors are impressive.
Incredible space is perfect venue to experience music. A great chance to dress up and go out on a date, or bring the kids (age 9-11 seems to work, not little kids) and expose them to culture.
I'm 26 years old, and I'm not into orchestra or these types of events at all. I know nothing about symphonies, nor do I play any instruments, and I don't even listen to classical music! My wife and I went in the Spring of 2012 and were blown away. The TSO was incredible! It wasn't stuffy or boring at all. The event we went to had an artist painting to the music on stage. There was so much action going on, it was tough to try to take it all in. If you have an opportunity to go, YOU NEED TO CHECK IT OUT! This is one gem that Toledo has, that truly needs to be experienced and appreciated.
The Toledo Symphony is always a treat to hear. My husband and I go quite often and have never been disappointed. We most recently heard them perform with Gary Puckett. It was a very enjoyable evening!
I played the violin in gradeschool, however, that pails in comparrision to the Toledo Synphomy performing at the Peristyle. Call the Toledo Art Museum for tickets.
You can enjoy classical music or pop concerts. The Toledo Symphony does it all. I have attended many different concerts over the past five years and have enjoyed the great variety of performances.
The acoustics in the peristyle aren't great, but the orchestra itself is great.
