riverman trail rides & stables

If you're tired of old ponies plodding along a trail, definitely check out this place! The lead riders paired horses with the riders that they thought were suited for them. All of the horses were well behaved, and the guides were very helpful. The views on the trails were gorgeous. We will definitely use this company again.

We had a group of 9 and we took the hour ride. It was awesome! We went through a river (the horses we almost belly deep!) up inclines and down. At one point you are on a 200 ft plateau. Horses were spirited enough to have a great time but not too much for the novice. I would highly recommend and we will be back! My husband didn't go because he thought it would be like ones he went to before where the horses walked a path with their head down. He regrets not going and will be going when we come back!

We went with a large group of 6 adults and 8 kids age range from 2 to 40 yrs old. Everyone in the group had a blast. We took an hour long package and our trail covered all different scenic view (uphill, downhill, hilltop, across river etc) very well. Staff was also very helpful and cooperating.

This is a horseback trail ride like they are suppose to be. Beautiful scenery with steep inclines and drops. Through the woods, crossing the river (several times), and pictures on the bluff made for a memorable experience. We took the 2 hour ride accompanied by Cujo the dog who made a delightful companion along with our guides, Greg and Waylon. We will come back again and can hardly wait. So if you want the trail ride of your life and you are ever in the area stop by and go for a ride. Highly recommended.

We have been on many horseback rides in amazing locations like Beaver Creek, Colorado and Palos Verdes, California and this one topped them all! We crossed rivers, climbed 400ft hills in trees (and descended!), rode through cow herds and saw a bald eagle. We even had a companion dog with us named Cujo who came along and was quite entertaining to watch and provided a funny distraction during lulls in the ride. Highly recommended!

Went on a girls weekend and saw a flyer for the River man and I have to tell you this was one of the best rides I've ever been on, Spectacular scenery!!! Steep exciting inclines/declines on mountain terrain, crosses rivers a few times, The Riverman is Awesome!!. Absolutely the highlight of the trip, will go again!!!

My husband, myself, and our two boys (ages 5 & 3) went on the 1hr trail ride. I cannot say enough about how much fun we had! This is not your average stroll around the meadow. We went up and down some rather steep climbs and through the woods as well as down to and through the river. Children 9 and below must ride with an adult. The horses were beautiful as well as the ride itself. They have many different choices as far as length of trail rides and the staff was friendly and personable. Worth every penny and we can't wait to go again when we return to the area!
