markham nature park and arboretum

Markham Nature Park and Arboretum is located between Cowell and Clayton Roads and is a perfect place to ride your bike around, walk through, bring your dog to play fetch, take pictures of plants or use as a backdrop, or learn about plant nomenclature! The arboretum is beautiful and sectioned off by geographic areas, then the plants are labeled with their common and scientific names. All the specimen are beautiful and to walk through the gardens is such a treat. I would highly recommend either bringing a picnic/blanket to sit and enjoy the outdoors here, bring some walking shoes to explore the area, bicycle to the area, schedule a visit to the plant shop, or some of the classes they offer!This place is a little safe haven in the middle of Concord, and you would never know it unless you stumbled upon it like we did!
