the funky bazaar

Mostly stuff you would find at a flea market or antique store. Owner was very nice and explained what was on the different floors. Didn't see anything that impressed us. The dead dolls and some of the pictures were a bit weird.

I read about this place on TripAdvisor, so decided to make it my first stop in Idyllwild. Peter is an amazing host!! He has so many eclectic and amazing treasures up for grabs. He played a Doobie Brothers album for me, which I ended up buying. He has TONS of vinyl, carries items made from local artists and just a bunch of other stuff. I came away with some Pussy Soap, a handmade candle and my album. Go check it out!

We stumbled upon The Funky Bazaar while poking about Idyllwild recently. We were met at the door by Captain Funk himself resplendent in top hat and tails and carrying a big stick. Don't let the stick intimidate you, the captain is very welcoming and we were soon being given the full tour of the Funky Bazaar. It holds art, records, tapes and objets d'art. It is a quick trip back to the 60's and my hippie daze.

If you are looking for one if a kind treasures, this is the place for you. Lots of old items, including depression and carnival glass, vinyl albums, classic toys. AND lots of original art. We always have a blast talking with the owner and finding original items for Christmas presents. Enjoy searching through his treasures and have a chat.

Great art and curiosity destination. This is more then a shop It's a full blown mind funk. A whole pinterest board could be created just from this shop. Then add that there are awesome #Woodstock like concerts in the back presented by WORD OF MOUTH. This place is an art gallery, curio shop, idea catalyst, gift store, music venue, photography opportunity, concert venue, museum all wrapped up like a funky burrito. Go ahead take a bite.
