I gamble way too much and have been here enough to know. The slots are completely rigged there is no denying it. Once in a while they loosen things up, but normally it absolutely horrible. I've been there four times in the resent couple of weeks playing 25 cent video poker and have gone through over $2000 dollars with out one four of a kind. The odds are 1 in 432 or getting a four of a kind. Well with pairs and three of a kinds(that's pretty much all I got) I figure that's about 4000 hands without one. I also tried deuces wild and counted 352 cards that came up on the screen before getting a deuce. I have one word to describe the people who run this place "racketeers". I was trying to take my mom to the buffet yesterday and was quite upset at the racketeering, when the server asked us how we where. Well both of us said bad and started to explain the horrible gambling conditions. I usually talk loud so my mom can hear me. Well one of the manager came up and told me to shut up or he would have security through me out. Never in my life will I go there again. Never have I been treated with such disrespect. These people do not deserve to have and run a casino. They are greedy, uncaring, unethical, cheats and liars. I have left there far too many times feeling cheated and just plain miserable when I should have left peaceful and relaxed. I expect to loose, but this place has brought racketeering and the casino advantage to all new heights. Whatever you do, don't gamble here. I think the place should be shut down and all the people who run it thrown in prison.

I had a very bad experience at the spa last Monday. I paid over $125 for a 90 minute message. My masseur was sick and was coughing all over me during my treatment, there was a loud banging noise coming from behind the wall and I got scalded by the shower water that wouldn't cool. When I brought all this to the spa manager attention they called the next day and only offered to give me $45 food credit at the cafe. I don't get it? Why would I want food credit when I frequent the spa? Do they not want my local business at their spa? Did I mention that they took away the 10% local discount program?I refused the food credit and have not heard from them since. I am reconsidering my previous recommendations to their spa and if this doesn't resolve, I will take my business elsewhere.

For those who hit the casino once or twice a year, take a nice gambling stake you're comfortable with risking and this will probably please you.ON the plus side, it's a lovely facility, tons of machines, pretty good food, lots of parking, and you can't beat the drive if you live in Place County.BUT - on the flip side - here goes. We've been regulars for about 7 years now. And for a long time you could go and play a little or a lot and still spend be confident that you would have a meal and a reasonable length of time to gamble even if you didn't win on a modest budget. Talking really modest. At first you could do a couple of hours on the penny slots for 40 or 50 bucks. Then it was 60. Then 80. Then before you know it, if you're not ready to drop a hundred or more bucks, even on the cheapest slots, you might be walking out empty-handed after half an hour. I feel that I am realistic, in that I don't expect to win, but look more to the reasonable trade-offs - how long I can play before I lose the amount I bring (and take joy in the RARE occasion when leaving with $$). The cheapest penny games are actually 30-cent games (minimum bet to play all lines), and there are fewer and fewer of those - the trend is for 50 cent to a 1 dollar minimum bets on the "penny" machines - so basically, it's a 50-cent or $1 machine with penny payoffs. Nickle games (that only take 5 nickles) are disappearing like dodos - the last ones I really liked to play were removed about two month ago. Hmm. Hence your short stay. That's a trend throughout all Indian Casinos but one that is ramping up here much faster here than say, Jackson or Colusa. They're also adding upscale features. like a mandatory dress code bar, which I have no real feelings about one way or the other, I just take it as another sign they are gearing the atmosphere to cater to the most profitable customers and leaving the old local fan base in the dust. Those folks pack the place on the weekends and date nights but it gets pretty quiet in there during the week when the locals are probably expected to show up solid. After going weekly forever, I've been skipping it lately. It is no longer affordable as a regular destination more than once or twice a month, and if the trend continues, it'll just be a coffee shop and buffet to me. One with a smelly, smoke-filled entrance. Phew! (Some of those people smell like they're smoking old shoes!)Save up to go there? We'll do Reno instead and make a trip of it. Don't worry, they seem to be raking it in hand over fist and the weekend crowds max out their capacity, so I know they'll never miss me.

The shows are terrific and affordable. High Steaks restaurant is terrific. The buffet is as good and affordable as any Las Vegas or Reno buffet. The casino is smoky and the slots seem too tight. Having Thunder Valley nearby is terrific.

For the President's Day holiday, I decided to make a trip to the Thunder Valley Casino Resort with the family. Thunder Valley is located at Lincoln, CA near Roseville, CA. This Casino resort is an Indian casino, and very upscale in many ways; it's very elaborately designed, and offer all of the luxuries one can expect for a nice weekend get-away, including a pool and spa. Located in the casino are many nice-looking restaurants and has an entertainment area for popular live entertainment. Thunder Valley is in Northern California and is centrally located and easily accessible from the San Francisco Bay area, coastal cities, and to residents who live in the foothills and beyond the northern region of California.Despite of the many niceties this casino has, it is much over-rated by its advertising. The moment we stepped foot in the lobby, one can smell the strong stench of smoke. Many casinos have their smoking area contained, but the stench of smoke in this casino is over and excessive. We found that we had to walk outside periodically just to catch a breath of fresh air. Furthermore, the service is less than average. The friendliness is simply not there for a casino that claims to be so highly rated. After spending a lot of money on the slots, they would not even give me a calendar because I did not spend enough money gambling. I needed to meet a spending quota to qualify to earn an advertising calendar (for Thunder Valley) made and printed in China? I have ordered calendars like this when I had a retail business, and it costs about 50 cents. And get this; I talked to the manager and he even told me that he can't bend their rules to give me a calendar. What in the world is a manager for if they can't even make special reservations to satisfy a customer who is obviously spending money in their establishment? As a senior citizen, many places offer senior discounts and treat the elders with respect and dignity. This place? Nope. You're no-one special. They don't even offer free drinks like many casinos do. They just want you to gamble; they charge you for everything, no discount, nada. They just lure you here to spend your money. It is all about them. I have nothing against Indian casinos; just this one. I have visited Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort (my favorite), Red Hawk, Cache Creek, Black Oak, and more, and none of the others rank so low based on my ranking as this one. I can rave about Jackson Rancheria Casino because you are treated like a welcomed and valued guest. Overall, our stay lasted less than two hours; and that was too long. After visiting Thunder Valley, I can now define what a "low" ranking casino is all about, comparing to the other casinos. All I can say is, come here at your own risk. It is not our place of choice to return.

Lots of machines and newer slots. Table games so, so. Rewards program is lacking! Reaching tiers is difficult. However; it is good for an Indian Casino. Lots, and lots of smoke! You can't smoke in California, but technically a Indian Casino is not California, so they smoke.

I was invited to celebrate my friend's birthday. I am not a fun of casinos but this place was terrible. TOO STINCKY. Food aweful. Too loud. I can't believe this was a new building in Lincoln.

This was not a very fun visit. Not a lot was happening here. The air was just filled with smoke. Was nothing to do than gamble all my money without any fun

The familiar slots were mostly gone, the new slots had up to 149 paylines. Way too confusing for me. I went into the gift shop hoping to purchase some used casino playing cards. The gift shop employee informed me that no cards are sold there, All used cards are destroyed. Another disappointment.

Cigarette smoke smell throughout. There is a small room for non-smokers but all the other amenities are in the smoking areas. Fast food food court and a buffet ($20-30 person), some entertainment at night for an extra charge. A hotel is attached and lots of parking. Lots of video gambling and some live gambling tables too. One large bar in the middle of the casino.

We played for probably 12 hours total, and every dealer was amazing. They made the experience. The ventilation is not great, so if you don't smoke bring something to cover your nose. Also, you have to buy your own drinks when gambling. Win or lose, it's a great night out!

This was the third year in a row that my friend and I attended one of the summer season concert series We had seen "Chicago" perform the 2 years before this one. Credence Clearwater Revival was the best ! What a great party at an inexpensive cost ! What a blast !

We are having a company party here next week and went to get chips that are being given away for gifts . Employees went out of their way to be helpful and friendly to help us in that process. It was a busy Saturday night and they had a lot of customers to help and it took awhile to get our things in order. Cons of this casino. SMOKE I reeked when we left from the cigarette smell.

Stayed for two nights last week in our RV in one of the massive parking lots. We were able to get security to shuttle us back and forth to the RV. Ate at the buffet with our new players card and got the discount. Had plenty of food choices, looked like there was going to be a lot of food on the line as they were about to close when we were leaving. Good selection of penny and nickel machines , not over crowded so no problem finding different machines. What doen't exist are inexpensive blackjack table games, I think you can spend as much at a $5 or $10 table and play a little longer than$15 or $25 tables.
