mt shasta lavender farm

My main reason for wanting to visit the lavender farm was for the photo op and this place did not disappoint! We were there mid July and unfortunately the lavender was just about past its peak, but the mountain views more than made up for that.We were looking forward to trying the lavender lemonade that this place is known for but unfortunately they could no longer give out samples because of some new California regulation regarding the dispensing of the drinks. The little gift shop had unique items for sale and we enjoyed some time sitting outside and taking in the scenery. It is a bit off the beaten track, but well worth the drive to experience the beauty of God's amazing creation. So glad we found this place!

Stunning to walk through the lavender. the gift shop team was very friendly and not trying to sell us anything. Learned many things about lavender, and loved every minute we were there. Can't wait to return the next time we are in N CA.

We attended a fundraising dinner here and it was great! The views were amazing, with Mt. Shasta in the background behind the blooming lavender fields. They do have a small gift shop but not a restaurant on-site. This is a great venue for special events - reunions, weddings, benefit dinners, etc.

We went to the Mt. Shasta Lavender Farms on June 21, 2014. My family of four spent about 1 hour there. There is a small gift shop with lavender related products. We did not purchase and cut any stems, but you are able to do so. I suggest bringing your own drinks and snacks because there aren’t many food services in the area. We have a drought right now in Nor. Cal. so the free lavender lemonade was not available. Get ready to go uphill on a red dirt road for almost a mile to get the farms. There is no cost for admission. The farms are only open from mid June to early August every year. There are great views of Mt. Shasta as well. Bring your camera and tripod so you can take some great shots! The farms are basically a site seeing attraction and are definitely worth seeing! Highly recommend!

My family goes there several times every year. My son loves their complimentary lavander lemonade. They give one cup. No more. My son went back for seconds and was told "no, you've had yours". I informed them I was letting hom have my share, as i always do. They then watched me to make sure i didn't try to get one for myself. Lol. What a joke. Why don't you just charge 50 cents a cup? That way you could make MORE money. We spent 35 dollars in the gift shop that day too. Tachy, very tachy! They look very foolish with a lemonade nazi patrolling the customers. I hope they get a clue. The staff can either be nice or rude and condescending depending on who is there. Great, beautiful place if you get past the annoyances. Stay outside and it's pleasant! Great photo ops

When we finally arrived....Harry Cash road is a long dirt road that meanders amongst the trees for several miles (thought I had wrong directions)...suddenly an opening through the trees revealed the most spectacular view of Mount Shasta with the fields of lavender in the foreground...and lush green pastures...WoW! For a minute I wanted to sing..."the world is alive with the sound of music" I looked through small gift shop bought some sachets ..drank some lavender lemonade..Mmmm, since I didn't have proper shears or basket to cut any lavender I simply took photos and breathed the amazing air. I noted that several people brought their own wine,cheeses, fruit..enjoyed a little snack while enjoying the view. Being there was like being in a picture postcard. Loved it! My son...not so much...but he was a good sport.

We had read the reviews here and decided to go and see for ourselves. We found the experience a great activity to do, The short drive from Weed was just fine and added to the farm feel of our morning. We were well received and welcomed to this lovely farm. The lavender lemonade was great and served with a sprig of lavender. The prices were great and no pressure. The owner was there and I had a nice conversation with her. The bunches of lavender were cut and wrapped right then and there. I would consider this a great experience and a very different thing to do. If planning a wedding or event, this would certainly be a consideration for me. We just had a great morning and would do it again. The view was spectacular !!!!

It's a bit of a drive, the view is great, and the lavender is OK, but the store is overpriced. Wen we were there, they charged several times more than a comparable lavender farm near Scholls, Oregon, for U-pick.And, there is a rather unpleasant blonde lady who was apparently overseeing things when we were they, we were asked not to pick in the "maze", and we not, but I was sitting on a bench nearby and trimming on the other side, when the lady walked all the way out to chastise me for allegedly picking in the maze. Quite a Los Angeles type of lady--is this place owned by Hollywood types?

From what everyone was telling me I expected much more. The "Gift Shop" is small with little selection and what they do have is over priced. The one lane road getting there is a country mile of dirt road up a hill. It might just be that I was raised seeing Mt. Shasta all the time that I wasn't that impressed with the views. From how it was described to me I expected more. 100 sprigs of lavender isn't that much for $4. It is a good photo op place. The lavender in the fields is pretty, I just expected more and a much better road.

From the labyrinth to the gift shoppe, the rows upon rows of lavendar with Mt. Shasta rising majestically in the background, to the friendly and knowledgeable staff and smiling faces of visitors, this is a wonderful experience. It takes a little perseverance finding the place at first, but I've loved coming back yearly to this peaceful, windswept place. The scent is heavenly, the serenity is soothing. You will love it. The drive out and about Montague through the otherwordly terrain is a photographer's dream also. Good fun.

Yes, it IS a little off the beaten path, but that just makes it more fun once you arrive. The lavender fields are lovely and, oh, the scent in the air! Bring a camera because there are photo ops galore, with gorgeous Mt Shasta in the background. There is a charming stucco building on the property, filled with handmade lavender products to buy and a very friendly staff. The day we were there, they handed out (free) cold, lavender, lemonade....such a treat on a very hot day! There is also a water fountain and several outdoor seating areas with umbrellas to shade you from the sun. Just as an FYI: dogs are not allowed here (because the lavender must stay clean) and the fields and patio area have uneven ground, so it's probably not the best place for a person with walking issues.

Lavender farms are not my thing, but my wife and daughter were very happy to be out clipping lavender in the field. The prior reviewer is right in stating that it takes some time to get to the site of the farm, but the journey is scenic and the farm has a lovely arid setting, with Mt. Shasta looming over the flowers. When we were there, there were plenty of other visitors--I was surprised, since the drive to the farm brings you through a sparsely settled area on lightly travelled roads. One has to admire the initiative of the people who built the lavender farm on a rocky hillside from scratch. It took vision. That vision has been nicely realized.Visitors in the latter part of the summer might want to call ahead to confirm that the farm is open and that the flowers are in bloom. In 2011 we visited Mt. Shasta in August, and the season was over. This year, a late July visit was perfect.

The only reason I gave the "Shasta" Lavender Farms a *terrible* is because it's not the easiest place to find.....and when you finally do locate this place (on a Sat. in the summer season)...it is closed at 4:00!!It is located absence of hardly any signs, almost like they don't want anyone to find it! From the photos I've seen, it does look beautiful....Maybe we'll get lucky on the 3rd attempt!

ラベンダー畑が広がっていて，シャスタ山を見ながら，ラベンダーの香りに包まれることができる．しかも，ラベンダー摘みを体験できる．ただし，もう少し，一面ラベンダーかと思ったけど，畑のように列ごとに植えられているので，「一面ラベンダー」というわけにはいかない．ラベンダーの香りを楽しみながら，シャスタ山を見るのは悪くないと思った．特に女性には良いのではないでしょうか．
