I like this park for walking. There's a well-paved trail around a small lake and it takes about twenty minutes to complete the circuit. You'll be entertained by the waterfowl and feral cats that make the park a home. It's a nice place to walk after working out at the local YMCA which shares the parking lot. Speaking of parking, make sure to park where there are plenty of other cars as the lot has a reputation for car break-ins.
Oh this place is sooo ok to walk around. I like the lake especially with those ducky nd goose (i think) swimmin nd makin noises. If u like walkin, this place is not that big like wat u expect but let u walk around is fun. If its summer, be aware on pollens.... too many. I walk here w friends. Its better. But 1 time, i walk w myself and i used to walk aroun. on the other end, there is a continuation that u can walk. I nver walk over there so i give myself a try. After a minute of walking to that road, on my left side, there is a spot wer actually u can hide if u want too, kinda like a tunnel but not really (lol) theres someone in there w his stuff and talking either to himself or on the phone. I freaked out so i turn back and walk away. Nd never walk all by myself again. And its just weird that i walk here w friends, we smell weed many times and we dont like it ofcourse so we stop passin by in this place and decided to walk in point pinole instead. So this is my experience, if u guys wanna go, give it a try. Im not sure if this is a good place for bbq coz i didnt notice any grill area. Only some spot to sit on. Gudluck.
Hilltop Lake Park: It is a beautiful, peaceful, green and full of nature path for a nice walking around this little Lake nestled in the middle of busy roads close by like Richmond Parkway and Hilltop rd which takes you to the mall. You will love your walking around this Lake since it takes you away from the busy roads around it with its tall trees, chirping of many different birds, and occasionally the view of some nice creatures like skunks, opossums, and raccoons, but don't worried these lovely ones are more likely to go around in the late evening when the path is close for the public!!
