The Woodland Opera House was built in the late 1800s. My grandfather sang there in a barbershop quartet in about 1900. It has a major fire in 1905 (?) and was rebuilt. It fell into disrepair and was totally refurbished recently. It a gorgeous, historic venue with a better than new auditorium. Detailed finishing and brass-work. It hosts local musical productions, and concert events. Good handicap access with an elevator from street level. Ludy's is around the corner for dinner. Parking in the area is adequate. There is a public lot behind the theater across Dead Cat Alley.

My husband and I visited our relatives and we were so lucky to get tickets to see," Thoroughly Modern Millie", last night at the Woodland Opera House (built in 1895 and restored to original and on National Register of Historic Places ) and what a TREAT! We were very impressed with the level of acting. The soloist was Broadway quality. The costumes, (they captured the era) and the scenery were all professional. They are all volunteers, putting in many hours, and each play takes 3 months worth of volunteering by the actors and actresses and support people. This opera house has the community behind them and many people doing behind the scenes work.We had gone to another opera house in another city that had been restored, but it was being used as a restaurant, so to have this opera house used as it was intended is well appreciated by many.

This historic opera house is a great venue for concerts and plays. Me like the opera house because it is small and any seat is good.

This little old Opera House features some of the most interesting performances. We live in Elk Grove which makes it an hour ride but it is worth every mile. We get to select our own seats and that is always fun. We sit on the front row and really get an eye view of the plays and concerts.

Very pleasant ambiance and excellent acoustics. Seats are comfortable and none are too far from the stage. As in all theaters, the entertainment is what counts most. Check out what is playing with care. Have no fear about musicals: the sound system is excellent.

It is fun to see live shows when you can be so close to the actors. Every seat in this historic theater gives you a good view and an opportunity to see actors' facial expressions. Have fun and pretend you are back in the good old days.

I have been an usher at the Woodland Opera House for 20 years. The historic building itself is worth a visit. It is a California State Historic Park, beautifully restored. The quality of shows range from very good to excellent. Some plays have a cast with local talent while other plays draw professional actors. The concert series is excellent. There is great variety in the performances. You can purchase a ticket for a single show or buy a season ticket. Lots of options. For out-of-town guests, there is dining within walking distance before the show. Highly recommend the Woodland Opera House! If you decide not to see a performance, you may visit the Theatre to appreciate the history of the building.

Raised here in Woodland and this is a great historical Theatre that has many shows during the year to see with great prices and all the seating there is a good view. You cannot go wrong going here for a great show by yourself or your family. Lots of good eating places surrounds this Theatre so you can grab a bit to eat before any show. Inside of this Theatre is amazing and great to see and you will not be disappointed!

The Woodland Opera House represents this lovely Victorian town that is very proud of it's architectural heritage. It presents a series of plays and musicals that are usually a combination of familiar standards and exciting new experiences. Many are usually family oriented. In addition they offer musical groups, comedians and speakers. We recently went to a concert by a Spanish guitarist, Todd Haaby, that was outstanding. The price is very reasonable and there isn't a bad seat in the house. But I would avoid the balcony unless you like mountain climbing. It is very steep. The theater is located on Main Street by the Heritage Plaza.

I've nevere been to a show at the Opera House. but the building is one of Woodland's nicest features. Right on Main Street.

Took our grandchildren to see Pink-A-Licious here and we all had a wonderful time. WE did purchase balcony seats which we probably wont do again with small kids as they are STEEP, but overall, loved the performance, the venue and the value.

We saw "The Drowsy Chaperon", one of our favorite shows. Everyone in the cast was great! They had good voices and the dancing was very entertaining. The narrator and Adolfo were as good as anyone on Broadway. We loved it so much, we're going back this weekend.

We have had season tickets to the mainstage productions for many years and have enjoyed a number of concerts there, as well. The Woodland Opera House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In addition, it is very close to what my husband and I consider to be the best restaurant in Woodland, Tazzina Bistro.

We have been to numerous productions at the Woodland Opera House. It is old, but has charm and good acoustics.

Renovated old opera house now a theatre for musicals. As I do not drive, I have only been there once, but would go again.
