Knowledgeable staff took us on a tour of the process and offered a tasting. Very interesting craft distillery that offers classes and an opportunity to have your own batch made and stored in casks for you. Young adult son particularly like the Fall Classic Apple Cider flavored whiskey. They were just opening their in town location. Felt compelled to buy something after so much personal attention. Unfortunately the screw top bottle of vodka leaked some in our luggage. If you just want a momento to carry home consider a shot glass.

My husband and I wandered in here without quite knowing what to expect, and while there wasn't a whole lot for us to see we still had a lovely time. The girl at the counter seemed to really know her stuff, and the sample we were given was great. All in all we didn't spend very much time here, but would still recommend it (especially to those who know more about spirits than we do.)

The My Batch experiance was awesome. The staff was friendly and treated us like we were all friends making a batch of spirits together.I would reccomend this to anyone interested in how spirits are distilled and was a opertunity to be involved in making a craft spirit that they can take home and share with friends

$$$ Great Service and Products. A wide variety of Craft Liquors coming from Justin, Jenifer and Nona the Still. Nonna, the production still built in Italy. A must to stop at when visiting the Peninsula in Washington State. Did I mention their Classes and Cask club?

While passing through Gig Harbour we stopped by the distillery. I've been to several other large distilleries, but there is nothing like visitng a craft distillery and talking to the guys that are actually making the spirits. It's a beautiful set up, they make some very nice products, and also offer distilling classes - I'll sign up for one when I'm back in December. In the mean time, I've adopted cask #203, sitting in a high, hopefully drafty location to accentuate the aging. We'll start sampling in a few months, and look forward to collecting the bourbon one day. A great way to spend some time - practical chemical engineering at its best.

We were looking for something fun and different to do within an easy distance of Seattle/Bellevue. Gig Harbor is always fun, and we are admitted foodies. So when we found Heritage Distilling in one of our searches, we knew we should give it a try. I'm really glad we did! It is a bit hidden, back behind the Gig Harbor Inn, but well worth the effort. We were lucky to have the distiller himself there when we arrived and he gave us a tour both of his finished products and the operation. First off, these are seriously good spirits. Grape-based Vodka! So smooth, with just a bit of sweetness. This will mix well in any drink, but is more than good enough to drink ice cold on its own. I loved the 'apple pie' bourbon, a cider infused spirit that is very, very tasty. But the real highlight of the trip was the way we were treated. Justin was patient and helpful, happy to joke and laugh with us and happy to answer our questions (we ask a lot of questions!). He then offered to give us a tour of the place, and that was equally interesting. If you are in the neighborhood, you really should drop in!

We are sorry you felt that you were treated rudely on your visit. As our staff tried to explain we had a very full tasting room with a private event when you arrived and we were trying to accommodate all of the bodies. We noticed your husband's crutches and did not want people bumping into his leg as we thought that would not be good for his injury/recovery. That was why we suggested you move to a spot in our room that had fewer people in it. We are not sure what other accommodations could have been made given the number of people we had in the tasting room while you were there, but we will try to communicate better in the future. In the meantime, we are always appreciative of personal and direct input and feedback from customers and members of the public about our products and services. While the Internet age has allowed for the creation of sites like Trip Adviser, Facebook and other public domains where people can vent their frustration with the world publicly, we ask people with concerns to come to us first directly so that we can address them rather than airing laundry in public forums. One-way public postings do not always give the full picture nor do they offer potential visitors or future customers a chance to get a true feel for how we conduct ourselves and our business. If you would like to come in and discuss this more in person we would be happy to have you back and to find a way to accommodate your needs. It is important to us that people leave Heritage Distilling Company feeling as through they had a good time and they were treated with respect.
