We did a tasting in Leavenworth and found this to be our absolute favorite. They had a lot of sweet wines. We loved the late harvest reisling but left with the best Sangria!! Adding tothe experience was Summer our wine tasting guru who wasn't only knowledgeable but very fun and friendly.
We enjoyed stepping down to this winery on a hot afternoon in Wenatchee and enjoying their wines. Server didn't rush us through the tasting and took their time telling us about each wine.
Our daughter bought us a Groupon for a wine/chocolate pairing tasting and it said that reservations were recommended. However, when we got there we found out: 1. the tasting was the same price without the Groupon, 2. reservations weren't needed, 3. only one wine out of five was paired with chocolate. All that being said, we still had a fun time. Our hostess' name was Summer and she had the best, most fun, and upbeat personality of any salesperson we met in town. She had to tend to the entire downstairs bistro herself, running around madly serving food, opening wine, bringing the trays of small bits of food to pair with each of five wines, and ringing up sales. She remained bright and bubbly and really made it a fun time. My wife and I are primarily red wine fans but darn if we didn't think that the Late Harvest Riesling and the Woo Hoo Sangria were our two favorites. It's the first sangria I've tasted made from cabernet franc and merlot with strawberries and blackberries added to the blend to macerate for just about an hour until they were filtered out. We bought two bottles of both wines. We didn't try their lunch since we were there just for the wine tasting. There are A LOT of wine tasting rooms in Leavenworth and for the most part the hosts are friendly enough but nothing special. Summer told us she loves her job, loves to come to work to be paid to do what she loves--and it showed.
Although trip advisor shows this only in Wenatchee, the bistro on front st. In Leavenworth is a great place! The staff are friendly and extremely knowledgable about the wines. I'd highly recommend ducking in on a cold day for the wine tasting and the roast beef panini!
Thanks for coming back to see us. Glad you enjoy our Panini Sandwiches they are becoming pretty popular, especially the garlic chicken, I am sorry to hear you didn't find a wine you enjoyed this trip, I do invite you back to sample our up coming wines, we are often rotating through our wines due to only crafting about 100 cases with each wine we tend to sell out of each wine pretty fast so the next time you do stop in we will most likely be serving a different flight of wines for you to enjoy. Try the Berry Sangria its delicious and very popular right now with this lovely warm weather. Or if you come back in the colder months we will have our Gluhwein (hot spiced wine) to warm you. Thanks for your feedback have a nice day...
Nice little place to get a sampling and a light snack. The wines are young and about average. The whites are the most interesting and would stick with a bottle of white over the red. The tasting room is in the basement and a bit hard to find. Enjoy.
