A wonderful market. They close of the streets in uptown and mostly local vendors and farmers come out to sell their wares. Always fresh, tasty and the people welcome you with a Smile and "how do you do". I was up there during the Woodenboat feast and I loved going up there for provisions.Don't forget the Coffee Houses and the great Theater within a block or three.

Port Townsend is all about local, sustainable and organic. All of that and more unite at the farmers' market. The local farmers produce some amazing food. There are also some prepared food venders with amazing products. A few crafters round out the experience. This is an all out street fair with something for everyone. Smoking and pets are not allowed. Otherwise, there is something for everyone.

We wanted to stop by here for lunch before catching our ferry back to Whidbey Island. We were not disappointed. The food is a little costly, but is local and very yummy. The different crafts, food and produce were wonderful to look at and there is a little playground close by for younger children to play at. Easy to find and easy to find parking.

The hand-made goodies, ready to eat food [quite good prices and fresh!] and of course lovely flowers and fresh veggies makes it a family tradition every Saturday. They now do the matching funds for EBT, so cost is not an issue, and many vendors haggle that extra carrot to round out a sale. In the Summer it's gorgeous with all the flowers and colours, Fall is particularly nice. Our fav is Mt Townsend Creamery, you will find better prices at the market, specials, and don't forget to get a punch card for free cheese when you buy enough! Great to support local artists and farmers by buying direct.
