Stopped in again. The place was fun, up beat, had live music outside. It is more of a tasting room, with lots of shopping options. It is a lot less touristy that most places you see in Hill City, and no pressure to buy. Have many edible items. Signage on the walls, furniture and other locally made items are for sale as well. Owners very nice, informative, and helpful. Did a wine tasting, it costs $5 (because as a tasting room, it's the law.) They had fun new wines compared to last time I reviewed this fun stop. The wine isn't local, but from all over the place, I found that fun as well. There is a cute shopping area for someone 3 years old to someone 89 years old. I enjoyed my stop and will be back. You could stay 15 minutes and see most things, or stay for hours to sit on the patio listen to live music and enjoy wine, beer, or wine based liquor (bloody mary was my fav on that note)
The "Green Chile" wine caught my eye, so we had to stop for a wine tasting. Great assortment of wines and olive oils, and the hostess was friendy and informative. Pleased with everything, and I picked up the "Green Chile" wine to bring back home to share with friends. Definitely worth checking out - will return next time I am in the area.
Stopped in to try the chili wines (from New Mexico) they were very unique and surprisingly good. We also purchased the habanero olive oil. Pickup a t-shirt.
The wine tasting was wonderful! The host and hostess were friendly and informative! Well Worth the stop!!
Although we try and please everyone who comes into our store, it does seem that a few might slip through the cracks, and for that we are truly sorry.
Fabulous wins....even better service! The owners are dedelightful kama knowledgeable and more importantly fun! The wine is fantastic and affordable..
As a local you know all the usual wineries in the area. This one is unique, fun, delicious, and AMAZING customer service! It was a great time! We will definitely be going back!
The wine is very unique in a very great way! I love the Pistachios, and that you can walk in and try them for free along with the huge assortment of olive oils. It is a very fun shop with many interesting things to look at and buy... hats, bags, wine accessories, and very interesting signs.
We stopped in here this past summer and it was a really neat place - probably my favourite winery of trip. Along with the wine tasting, we got to sample some cheeses. The green chili wine and the pistashios are worth the try too. It was family owned [from New Mexico I think] and they were super friendly and helpful. Got a couple things from the gift shop too.
They have great wines AND aged Balsamic vinegar, olive oil - not the grocery store variety either. This is a neat shop that adds a little goumet to the wine tasting experience.
A sub-par winery - wines are unique but almost too unique that you don't appreciate their taste. Nothing bad to say but nothing great either. I simply prefer wines that are more typical and expected than unusual.
I haven't tried the wine yet but love the service here. I purchased some of the best balsalmic vinegar ever at this place (similar bottle purchased at Cherry Creek Mall in Denver was more expensive and not as good) - also has fun unique items for purchase - I love shopping here!
New business in the area. From their vineyards in New Mexico, you need to try their wines, homemade cheeses. They have unique gifts. Sit outside under umbrellas and have a chilled glass of wine or cold bottle of beer.
