Skybrook used to be the best semi-private golf course in the Charlotte area. With its dramatic elevation changes, fast greens and deep bunkers, you could expect a fair challenge. Then a few years ago it fell into disrepair eventually going into receivership. It is now out of receivership and being managed by Troon Golf. What a difference! In less than a year Troon and the owners have put money into much needed repairs to the course and clubhouse. Membership has started growing and the course is getting closer and closer to its previous status.Right now, the price is fair and the course is good. Greens (with a couple of exceptions) are really good - although they are being aerated today! - and the fairways are awesome. Bunkers have been maintained and the rough is fair. Play it now so you can compare it to what it will become in another year. I suspect the price to play will go up as the course returns to glory!

I drove past several other courses around the same rate to play here. Staff is exceptionally friendly, the course had great routing and a wide variety of holes. The course condition wasn't that good. Greens were bumpy and patchy. The bunkers inconsistent or water filled. Fairways were in decent shape, but off the edges high grass and weeds. Pace of play was good, 4 hours on a busy Sunday morning. I would highly recommend if the price came down or conditions (especially the greens) were improved.

This club is over priced, bunkers are rarely ever raked properly and often have massive wash-out areas. All indicative of the management group and the thought that getting people through the course quickly is the top priority, just be warned.

Plenty of hills and slopes. Usually in great shape. Fun course to play and play again. Good staff and great putting green. Excellent for a group outing.

Better hit it in the fairway because your ball can sink down in the rough and the grass will cover it up. You can walk right by and never find it. Greens rolled well the day I played but some of them needed attention. I found it a fun course to play. I would definitely play again. The green fees were priced right. I had fun playing the course.
