We had our Daughters 3rd birthday party here. We rented a shelter and the kids and moms played in the splash pad while the dads cooked hot dogs on the grill at the shelter. We ate, did presents, had cake and ice cream and then the kids all rode the train and finally played at the park for a little while. The staff at the park was very helpful even providing a Gator to help transport everything from the car to the shelter. Recommend to all!!!
Lots of activities: a train, splash pad, outdoor amplitheater, and more! Make sure you check out the fourth of July celebration with the Charlotte orchestra. What a blast.
Love the park. Playing with grand daughter and I run the baker's creek loop for exercise. Clean and lovely area.
Nice find in the area. I live in Charlotte and have never been here. 4 children between the ages of 2-6 had a great time. It is very clean, a covered picnic area with nice tables and benches. There is a playground, a train that is fun and enjoyable for only a dollar. There is a large splash pad area that the kids had a blast in, the cost was only a dollar for this also. Well worth it for an afternoon of fun! There are restrooms close by, a drink machine and you can get ice cream bars also.
Village park has easy access, a sound stage that has a great open area in front, a kids play area, and a nice paved trail throughout. We take Hobbs (our dog) at least once a week and this is a good place to socialize him and play. We don't have kids, so I won't speak to the kid friendly part, but this park is also near a cemetery and with that part added, makes for a nice evening stroll with the pup. Enjoy!
We have been to village park several times since moving to Kannapolis 8 months ago. During the winter we went to see the wonderful train set up and light display that encompassed the entire park. We took the train ride to see the lights as well and it was a fun little ride. The train, no matter what time off year, is a dollar a ride per person. It's a cute ride and a fun adventure for the little kids. The park does several events through the spring/summer. It is home to the Kannapolis Easter egg hunt and once the weather gets nice, it alternates between Friday night movies and concert events. The park is always jammed for these events, so be sure to bring your own seating and get there early. They are excellent free events that are family friendly. We recently went to the park to go on the swing set (free) and splash pad (1.00 per person). The park was very busy and my young daughter was a bit overwhelmed. While they do offer areas just for the little kids, it may not be the place for very small children during the times that school is out. The Kannapolis library is just down the street from the park, so you may want to take a walk over after a fun visit to the library.
This park is a great day out. Playground, train, walking trail, outdoor movie nights and splash pad. Bring some cash and towels. The kids will love this park.
The water park is excellent for children...they can safely play and enjoy the fun. There is a train ride...that is a must for all ages. In the summer, there are FREE Movies in the Park and various outdoor fun all season long. 4th of July celebrations at Village Park is wonderful. Don't forget the bands too!
This is a great little hidden gem near the Kannapolis Research Campus. Great spot to bring your little one(s). Make a day of it and picnic under the many shelters. There is also a kid safe playground, splash pad and mini train (adults can ride too). There are always movies or Concerts every weekend in the summer. Also light displays at the holidays. I live within walking distance of this place and love it!
Village Park is a great place for family fun! There are two playgrounds, shelters, a splash pad and a train. The splash pad and train cost $1 per person. It is a great way to have a lot of fun on a budget. Highly recommended!
my 9 yrs and I had a great time at park. No too pack. All staff was very nice. VERY cheap for a big park and vey clean.
The park is very well kept. The children love. Also a good place to have a child's birthday party. The train is an added bonus for just a dollar. They also have a splash pad, a good way to cool off in the summertime (for adults or children).
I came here for Celebration of lights and enjoyed myself. The lights were beautiful and exciting to look at. I actually enjoyed here better than McAdenville.
El parque es pequeño pero es muy bonito, tiene un tren y en verano tiene el parquecito de agua con precios super razonables, me encanta visitarlo todo el tiempo, también hay lugar para celebrar cumpleaños
