This is a large Toyota manufacturing plant, currently making three vehicles, including a pickup--one like the disassembled pickup hanging from the ceiling in the visitors area. The display takes a pickup apart and hangs all the pieces from the ceiling--all the pieces shown separately and in their proper position in the vehicle.The tour is of only one of the assembly lines and takes about an hour. Everyone gets into a golf cart and travels through the plant which is amazingly clean considering the number of people working there. The guide shows how a car is assembled, from the chassis (attaching motor, drive system, axels, etc.) to the addition of the body and all the parts that make the vehicle work. It is very illuminating and certainly will give you greater confidence in the vehicle.We saw lots of employees involved in physical exercise and community activities. During the tour, we were constantly given friendly welcoming waves, even tho the ee's had only seconds to achieve the particular job (tightening something, adding something) they were doing. This was an educational and friendly tour and I highly recommend it.
