Make the effort and the drive to Atchison, KS to walk through this wonderful shopping experience. My Kansas family have told me about this, and now I saw it for myself. There is plenty of parking nearby. Loved walking, room by room, and seeing all the many displays. As soon as you walk through the doors, you are immediately immersed in decorating inspirations. Be it table settings, furniture, fabrics, wall art, or accents for tables; there is an idea waiting for you! There are so many ideas to enjoy and see. This shop and the staff have prepared a decorator's paradise. It is beautiful here.Whether you walk through this location or the newer shop in Briarcliff (which was just as wonderful), you are in for a treat!

Great finds for small table decorations to entire home re-dos! they have a location in Briar Cliff in NKC, but the Atchinson location is far superior and worth the trip at peak holiday seasons. Prices range from very reasonable to a little high, depending on the item - but a great place to just browse and discover!

Lots & lots to see! Amazing displays of beautiful home decor! Definitely need to go to Atchison & shop here. Prices are so reasonable. Don't forget to go upstairs and shop...it's my favorite part. Staff is incredibly friendly!

A little overwhelming at first, but you get used to it after a while. My mom and I loved upstairs and found some great treasures. Can't wait to go back!

This store is chock-a-block full of interesting, unique, and some quite ordinary items. Some type of magic puts it all together in fresh ways that will give you plenty of decorating inspiration. We were lucky and arrived when the store was not crowded. There are some incredibly affordable little items you can take home to punch up your place. Very cool place, and the store's staff was oh so friendly!

My wife wanted to check this place out for some decorating tips and items. Not really my thing, but I have to admit the sheer volume of items for sale is impressive. Staff are helpful and the store itself is fun to meander through.

If you need inspiration for your Christmas decorating - this is the place to come....even if you don't do a lot of decorating for Christmas...just come and enjoy the beauty of it here!!! Garrity's was awesome too and if you missed picking up something that you wanted at Nell Hill's, you could pick it up here. If they didn't have it at Garrity's, one of the ladies so graciously offered to go over and brought it back for us to purchase. Love the Atchison location....much more than the KC location!!!!

Nell Hill's is truly an experience. Even if you're not in the market for new home accessories, it a great, fun way to spend the day with the girls. Yes, some stuff is expensive, but they always have a good stock of less expensive trinkets to take home as a souvenir. It's obviously a popular and enjoyed destination by many, so be aware that the store will be VERY BUSY from Thurs-Sat. Mon-Wed are your best bets, but even those can see an influx of traffic so don't expect to have the store to yourself. Also, it is merchandised to the max so avoid bringing the stroller as you'll not be able to get very far. If you don't get around very well, don't worry, there is still a lot to see, but keep in mind that the store is two levels . . . luckily, if you need a quick rest there are always comfy chairs and sofas nearby. Overall, anyone who is up for an adventure will enjoy the visit, even if you don't have the energy to make it through the entire store! On the other side of things, in my personal experience, anyone who hasn't been prepared to share the store with the many other customers or expects to get cheap deals because this is a small town store will be disappointed and should probably look elsewhere for a place to spend you time in Atchison.

I went there looking for decor to fill my new home. I was dissappointed to find everyday run of the mill made in China junk. If this is what you are looking for I would go to Hobby Lobby. They have alot of the same junk only cheaper.

discovered the town has awesome attractions. Did you see Mrs. Garrity's house? The historic homes are worth the trip. I will be back for Octoberfest and the mansions lit up for Christmas. And drive over to nearby Weston while your in Atchison.

I love Mary Carol's books, so I was looking forward to stopping at Nell Hill's. There was a lot more "stuff" than I anticipated, and if there were great decorating ideas there, most them must have been buried. (I wasn't quite sure who the employees were, and who the customers were, and the woman who checked me out wasn't very friendly.) That being said, since I did need to stop at the register, it means I bought a couple of things, so I did have some shopping success. I went WAY out of my way to stop there, and am glad I did, but I don't feel a need to go back.

What a tacky, crowded overrated shopping experience. There were so many old ladies in there, that I felt like I was being herded along. The items were all tacky and overpriced. I really did not see what was so great about this place.

If you like to shop, this is the place to go for interior decorating, fine furniture, and beautiful stuff. The store is certainly not feng shui - there are decorations from floor to ceiling. If the amount of stuff doesn't overwhelm you, the crowds of people will. Despite all the commotion, the store is huge and a treasure trove of great shopping.
