Running a skydiving venue is obviously tough. There can be a lot of people at the venue amped up on nerves, and you are subject to the vagaries of the weather. I found the staff at this venue to be friendly, cheerful and responsive to questions. Their attention to safety was top notch and they really tried to keep everyone informed of what was happening with the weather and what the dive schedule was looking like. They were also very flexible when it came to rescheduling if you could not dive because of the weather. My only gripe was that while the staff tried to keep you informed of the dive schedule they did not always succeed, and it was not clear to me in advance which group I would be diving with; it felt like I was sort of shoehorned into a flight where there was space. I would have just like to know in advance "if the weather holds up, you're going in the third group" sort of thing. I think they are 95% there and I just fell through the cracks that day or they were not trying to commit me to a group in case they could get me in sooner. The experience was intense and the tandem partner I had, Dave, kept checking in with me the whole way up and down making me feel very, very safe.
This was a great experience. Tandem jumping with a trained skydiving professional from 14000 feet in the air! You have to be 18 years old to jump because you have to sign your own waiver forms. I took my 18 year old son for his 18th Birthday and we both loved the experience. You have a 20 minute plane ride to get up to the elevation and then you jump with your instructor. This is an experience that is beyond description. You have to do it in order to know what is is like. If you are into adventure, you should give this a try sometime.
